50. Crown prince

With Simon's help, baron's business flourished again and Adeena even sent him a letter to thank him.

 The day for the announcement of the crown prince also came but Zhan was still made about what had happened.

That whole week Zhan didn't talk straight with Simon, and that made him confused.

Simon didn't understand what he did to make Zhan so mad, even while going to the party Zhan didn't speak much.

"Zhan for god's sake will you tell me what I did wrong?"

"You did nothing wrong, I am the one who is mad here."

Simon sighed and didn't say anything because they had already reached the imperial place.

A-Yuan and A-Xiang were excited as well after seeing the beautiful imperial place they couldn't wait to meet Yibo.

Once they were inside they greeted the emperor and the empress before Yibo finally came to them.

"How are you all?" He asked with a big smile.

"Your highness, "The small siblings greeted him and he just pats their heads, before greeting Simona and Zhan, but Zhan's mood was off and even Yibo could tell that after hearing his slow response and a straight face.

Yibo glanced at Simon who just shrugged his shoulders.

"Good evening Duke and lord Zhan" It was Zhehan who spoke while Simon returned his greeting Zhan just nodded.

"I'll go and get a drink." with that he went away.

While others just kept on looking in the direction he went, before Zhehan spoke, "Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed."

Simon sighed, "I think that certain someone is waking on the wrong side of the bed for a week."

This made Yibo and Zhehan smile, before Yibo spoke, "Maybe it's time to change the bed."

The celebration was held at a grand scale, all the nobles and even the rulers of the neighboring kingdoms had also come to join and wish Yibo.

The high priest and even the saintess were here for the ceremony.

"Greetings, third prince," A foreign man greeted Yibo, who returned his greeting.

The man had blue eyes, black hairs, slightly brown skin, and was well built

"My name is Zion Laurent, I am the emperor of the Sumedian empire."

Yibo smiled, "Welcome to the Akkarian empire, your majesty."

"Thank you, I have heard a lot about the beauty and culture of this empire it's my honor to see it, with my own eyes."

Yibo smiled, "I hope you will enjoy your stay here."

The ceremony was held soon after the emperor, Silas, and the saintess Emerald stood high up on stage and Yibo took his oath, "From today onwards the third prince Yibo will be the crown prince and the next emperor of the Akkarian empire."

Zhan who watched everything smiled gently and clapped, at Yibo's success.

While Yibo who has waited for this moment way too long felt delighted.

Simon, Zhehan, A-Xiang, and A-Yuan everyone was happy.

After the ceremony, Zhan was standing on the balcony enjoying his drink before Yibo came and stood beside him, "So, what are you so grumpy today?"

"It's nothing."

"Can you please answer anything but that?"

Zhan sighed, "My brother helped my enemy and that gave my enemy the chance to look down at me and I hate it."

"By enemy, you mean Baron Vespera?"

"Yes."

"But what has that man done, to you?" Yibo asked in a confused voice, Baron Vespera, and Zhan what's their connection?

"Not Baron, it's his daughter, Adeena"

"And what has she done."

"You won't understand and I can't make you understand, so leave it." 

Yibo felt annoyed because of this, how can Zhan expect him to understand anything when he does not tell him anything, but since it was a good occasion today, Yibo decided not to fight.

Their alone time was interrupted by a third person, "Crown Prince Yibo, I was looking for you."

It was Zion who came to the balcony and for some reason, he annoyed Zhan, who looked at him annoyingly.

"And who might this be?" Zion asked as he looked at Zhan, who remained quiet while Yibo answered on his behalf, "Emperor Zion, this is my close friend and the younger brother of the duke WeiXiao he is Sean Zhan WeiXiao."

Something flashed in Zion's eyes and he smiled when he looked at Zhan who also noticed the change in his behavior.

Zion raised his hand towards Zhan, "It's once to mee you, I am Zion Laurent the emperor of the Sumedian empire."

Zhan stared at his hand before slowly shaking it, "Nice to meet you, emperor"

"You are not much of a talker are you?"

"You are right, I don't like to talk much, especially with strangers."

Yibo glanced between the two while sipping his drink, what's with this sudden tension?

Zhan smiled and so did Zion before breaking the handshake, "I am staying here for a few days, I am sure we will be familiar by the time I will leave."

"Sure, let's see."

Yibo cleared his throat because this was getting awkward, what's wrong with these two.

"Emperor Zion have you had Dinner."

"No not yet."

Zhan spoke next, "That's not good, your majesty, you should have dinner, because it's already very late."

Get lost from here and leave me alone with prince shitface.

Zion smiled, "Actually I don't like to eat alone, if you two have not eaten then can you accompany me?"

"I am sorry I have eaten"

"Yeah Sure"

Yibo and Zhan said together and when Yibo looked at Zhan he felt shivers when he saw Zhan's stare or more like glare.

Yibo smiled and turned towards Zion, who was looking at Zhan.

"Looks like, it will be just  crown prince and me."

Zhan finally looked at Zion with a smile that was not a smile, he was really pissed at Yibo, what was the need to say yes?

Yibo also spoke, "Yeah...so let's go emperor Zion."

With that, the two of them were gone while Yibo tried to talk to Zhan but after seeing Zhan's cold eyes he decided to just shut up.

Once they were gone Zhan threw his glass away and clenched his fists, but when he looked down he saw Adeena and her father leaving the palace, and after seeing that his anger dissipated a little.

"Finally, another eyesore will be annihilated"

Author's note: Oh my gosh, I am not ready for the ends but don't worry we still have plenty of chapters before this ends but damn this book just started yesterday and we are already on chapter 50
