Epilogue

The cold air hit his face and he felt chills, Zhan slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying on land, his eyes saw the vast stretch of clear blue sky.

Calming.

It was so calming.

Zhan just laid there for some time and just enjoyed the calming blue color of the sky, before Azure appeared in front of him.

Zhan moved but he realized that he was still injured, hence movement was painful.

But he turned his head and saw Azure landing beside him, Azure's size was still very big, and yet she just gently caressed Zhan's cheeks with her feathers.

"What is it?" Zhan asked his voice was rough and his throat was dry.

Azure tilted to the side, very carefully and Zhan saw that she was carrying something or someone on her back, that person who was on her back was unconscious and slowly rolled on the ground.

Zhan's eyes widened when he saw who it was,

"Marquis..."

Zhan slowly moved and crawled towards the gravely injured Zhehan who was still breathing but barely.

Zhan fed him his blood and after that Zhehan seemed to be okay.

Zhan then realized that he was still alive but how?

He also looked around and realized that this place was an island and he was on a cliff and in front of him was the ocean and a little far he could see a huge amount of Smoke.

Something was burning, something big.

"Hello, Zhan."

Zhan turned around and saw a woman with black hair and a black dress with a golden crown, "Who are you?"

He asked, and the woman smiled, "I am Duat."

Zhan's eyes widened and he kneeled before the goddess, "Greetings."

Duat looked at him and smiled before grabbing his shoulder and making him stand up, "You must be thinking why are you here and why I am here right?"

Zhan nodded ad Duat replied, "First of all, Thank you for waking my son from his slumber," She said, "For thousands of years I have been waiting to see him and hug him my precious son, who was wronged, I can finally have him back and it's all thanks to you."

Zhan didn't say anything he just stood there with his head down as a sign of respect.

"And I was the one who saved you." Duat said, and that made Zhan look at her, "Yes when my son awakened, I knew you were going to be burned to death hence I used my power to cover your body with a shield and Azure brought you here."

Azure who was back to a normal bird Size sat on Zhan's shoulder, "Why did you save me, goddess?"

Duat smiled, "You are someone who is favored by Ankh, it's not a new thing, now that you have completed your mission, I and Ankh wanted to ask for a favor from you, Ankh couldn't come because she is in great pain.

After all, she has to take the sufferings of millions of people, animals on herself."

Zhan immediately spoke, "Goddess I can do that, if you allow I am ready to spend my time in purgatory."

Duat shook her head, "Ankh is doing this willingly, but we have something else for you, will you help us?"

Zhan was quiet for some time before slowly nodding and Duat spoke, "Millions of people have died but there are thousands who have survived, they have no home no family no direction they are lost." Duat looked at Zhan, "These people are suffering because of my son, my curse because of Ankh's mistake.
