"Addi flip off the lights." Rachel whispered, seeing the trucks on the horizon, starting to descend towards the direction we were coming from. "Max, Jake please tell me you have a place on a map where we can hide out in the truck until they pass!" I stated quickly, reaching forward to flip off all the lights, unplugging the radio without warning. "Addi." Rachel whispered, gripping my arm tightly as the trucks started to approach. "Two rocks on the left, you should be able to get between them." Jake stated, gripping the metal bar tightly as I made a quick turn, tucking the truck between the two rocks, the windshield facing the road. "Get in the back." I whispered, looking over at Rachel who nodded, opening the partition, allowing the both of us to slide in the back with the men.
Max wrapped his arm around my shoulders, ducking my head into his neck while Jake did the same with Rachel, keeping us out of eyeshot of any passing men that could want to cause harm. "They're military trucks." Max whispered, pressing his back against the wooden box that was built around the truck as headlights started flooding down the dirt road. "Where the fuck are we?" Jake whispered, holding Rachel tightly to him as the truck rumbled. "Welcome to fucking Sudan." I whispered, looking over at Rachel who reached out for my hand, gripping it tightly. "How the fuck are we gonna pull this off?" Max asked, looking down at me. "A whole lotta Ari Levinson luck." I whispered. "God I hope he has enough." Rachel whispered, squeezing my hand."Base to Yacht 1." Sammy spoke, looking up at Ari as both of them shared the same look of panic. "Base to Yacht 1." Ari yelled into the radio after taking it from Sammy's hand. "Fuck." Ari whispered, rushing to the window to see if the truck was coming down the road. "It's nearly 3 am, where are they?" Sammy asked, quickly getting up, joining Ari's side at looking out the window. "I'm going to be sick." Ari whispered, grabbing the window sill with so much force his knuckles were turning white. "Ari breathe." Sammy whispered, prying his fingers from the window. "They're okay right? They have to be okay. These are the top spies in the mossad, they can handle themselves." Sammy convinced, causing Ari to laugh. "Are you trying to convince me, or yourself?" Ari asked, looking over at his friend. "Both?" Sammy replied, both of them chuckling before they sat back down on the bed.
The convoy finally passed, all of us letting out a breath we didn't know we were holding in. "Someone look to make sure we have enough time to get out of here without being followed." I whispered, seeing Jake let go of Rachel, looking out the front. "No headlights in sight, if we're gonna go, we need to go now." Jake spoke, watching as I threw myself into the drivers seat, starting the engine before flooring it down the road, keeping the headlights off. Rachel quickly climbed through the partition, sitting in the passenger seat, keeping the radio unplugged to maintain our radio silence. "I'm not going out in the dark again" Rachel mumbled, while I laughed. "Yeah, that was enough exploration for me." I replied, seeing the lights of the hotel in the near distance. "I've never been so glad to see this stupid hotel." Max sighed, relief washing over the four of us. "I think that makes four of us." Rachel whispered, causing all of us to laugh. I leaned forward, flipping on the lights to show them our arrival.
"Sammy, look." Ari whispered, climbing off the bed quickly when he saw the headlights approaching. "Let's go." Sammy rushed, quickly running out of the room with Ari on his heels, meeting us in the front of the hotel when we pulled up. Ari quickly ran up to the drivers side when I turned off the car, opening up the door and pulling me into his arms, his hand on the back of my head while he pressed kisses to my head. "Oh thank god, you're okay." He whispered, while I smiled. "Yeah, I'm good." I replied, wrapping my arms around his neck, his hands on the back of my thighs when he lifted me up. "Yeah, we're good too thanks for asking." Jake laughed, while Ari looked over at him. "I'm glad you're all safe. What the fuck happened?" Ari asked, allowing me to pull my head out of his neck.
"There's a military base 5 miles to the west, we were undetected when we went past, but on the way back a convoy was heading out. So we hid out in the back of the truck hidden between two rocks." Rachel explained, laying her head on Sammy's shoulder while he rubbed her arm gently. "You girls are not going out at night anymore." Ari muttered into my hair when I laid my head back in his neck. "Don't have to tell us twice." I laughed, hearing Rachel giggle as well. "Let's get you to bed cupcake. Everyone can sleep in tomorrow." Ari explained, walking towards the bungalow with me in his arms.
My back hit the mattress, a soft sigh leaving my lips as the blankets surrounded me. "You're so lucky I love you." Ari mumbled, caging me in against the mattress, his body hovering over mine. My hands instinctively ran through his hair, his head dipping into my neck to press a kiss over the bruises he had sucked into the flesh hours before. "Yeah, I know I am." I teased, looking down at him as he pressed his lips against mine, cherry red lipstick smearing across the expanse of his plush lips. "Don't scare me like that ever again cupcake." He whispered, his eyes glossing over as I reached up, wiping my thumb against his cheekbone. "Never again, I promise. Now give me your shirt so I can go to bed." I smiled, seeing him pull off the gray short sleeve, handing it over to me while I pulled off my clothes, discarding them in a pile on the floor, sliding his shirt over my body and climbing into bed.
"Get your ass over here." Ari chuckled, pulling my body tightly against his, his arm locked around my back before we both drifted off into a much needed rest.
