Dinner

I closed my book when someone knock on my door.

"Galina, Enzo's downstairs..." Saad ni mommy sa likod ng pintoan.

Ngumuwi ako at tumayo. I open the door and mommy's strict face welcomed me.

"He's been there for two hours. Be polite and go down!" She said and walk away.

Tumayo siya ng makita ako. I rolled my eyes secretly because mom was there. I cross both of my arms against my chest and coldly look at him.

"She's here..." Mom said and stood up. "I'll leave the both of you... Anything you want for dinner hijo?"

"Wala po, Tita."

"You sure?"

Tumango si Enzo. When mommy leaves Enzo tried to approach me but I turned around and walk towards the garden.

He grab my arm gently. Palihim akong napasinghap ng bumagsak ako sa kanyang dib dib. He wrapped both of his arms around me tightly.

"Love, I'm sorry..." he said against my neck.

"Talk to me! Hmm?" He said gentleness was a trace in his voice. "I swear I never kiss anyone..."

Nanatili akong tahimik. Kumalas siya sa pagkakayakap sa akin. Still hands around my back.

"I acted like a scumbag, and I'm sorry..."

"Where were you last night?"i asked coldly.

He stared at me for a minute as if studying my reactions. He heavy sighed.

"I came back from the site quarter to four and took an overtime... I went home exactly ten in the evening and went to sleep at ten twenty-three I even send you a message at that time..."

I arched my brows!.

"My sister can even justify for it!"

"Then call her!"

He fish his phone out of his pocket and dialed Drisella's number. After three rings she picks up.

"What's up, Enzo!"maligalig na saad ni Drisella.

Kumunot ang noo ni Enzo.

"Your honorifics, Dria..."

I heard her laugh and said something on the other line which we didn't understand.

"Anong kaylangan mo, Kuya?"

"Galina is with me right now... Tell her what time you saw me come home last night..."

"Why, got a fight with, ate?"

Enzo sighed in frustration.

"Just fucking answer, Chan!"

"Language, Kuya Vincenzo," she said.

"Chan!"nagbabantang saad ni Enzo.

"Okay, then in return for my statement... buy me the newest bag edition of Channel."

"Fine! Just tell her already "

"Is this on loudspeak?...well... Ate, I will never lie to you as my bag is in the line here! Kuya really went home exactly ten last night and he never came out I sleep twelve in the midnight so..."

Hindi pinatapos ni Enzo si Drisella at pinatayan ito ng telephono. Hinarap niya ako.

"Paano ako makakasigurong hindi ka lumabas roon sa opisina mo?"

"We can check the cctv right, now."

Tinitigan ko siya ng malamlam. It's hard not to believe him when my heart already believe him first even without the explanation.
