"I hope this school year goes well for me..." I muttered out of the blue while staring at the other students who were lining up as well to finish the enrollment process.

Time flies so fast. I can't believe this. Graduating student na ako!

At dito pa sa Areniego City University.

It's funny how I hated being transferred to this university back then, but it's my own choice now to stay here. Hindi ko akalain na I would have a change of heart on this matter. Same goes for lining up and waiting patiently outside the registrar's office.

Well, things have become different, though I'm still the person I was before. I just keep improving and growing—as I'm supposed to be.

I've realized, ang tino ko na talaga mag-isip lately. Baka dahil kakasama ko kay Cyron? Partly yes, I guess. Good influence kasi siya.

But on a serious note, I'm really doing better now for myself. It's not the same as before that I would try to do something just to attain some immature motives of mine. Hindi ko na ginagawa 'to para magpapansin sa parents ko, sa ibang tao o kaya para maging ideal girl sa taong nagugustuhan ko. It's more like an action towards self-love and self-fulfilment.

I've really made it too far, right? God! I can't help but be proud of myself!

"What makes you smile like that?"

I was snapped back to the present when Cyron spoke suddenly and shot a curious stare at me.

Sabay kaming nag-enroll ngayon at mabuti na lang talaga kasama ko siya dahil mainipin ako 'pag ako lang dito at hindi ko rin namamalayan na umuusad na pala 'yung pila.

"We can sit now," aniya sabay turo sa akin ng upuan. Finally nasa tent na kami!

"You haven't answered my question yet," tuloy ni Cyron na pinagmamasdan pa rin ako. He's really attentive to notice the subtle changes in my expression... and kinda persistent to know the reason behind, too.

"You," I replied, smirking. "You make me smile."

His brow furrowed. "Was that really the reason?"

Totoo rin naman 'yun. Ako ba naman may katabing gwapo na kagaya niya sa enrollment na 'to, mapapangiti talaga ako!

"Fine. I'm just happy. Graduating student na tayo. We will get our dream job soon and be a professional!"

"You're thinking about the future?"

"Sort of," simple kong sagot. Muli kaming na-distract nang kailangan ulit lumipat ng upuan.

Tss. Tayo-upo. Seriously? Mabuti mahaba ang pasensya nitong si Cyron. He mentioned earlier that he was used to this kind of system—'yung maraming proseso at pila. Sa bagay, ako nga lagi niyang pinagpapasensiyahan.

For three months of being in a relationship with him, he could handle me well, even though I sometimes threw random immaturity and mood swings at him.

But of course, I know my limits and how to handle myself, especially my attitude. Ayaw ko ngang maubos ang pasensya niya sa'kin habang burn-out siya sa work at studies niya!

Oh now that I thought about it...

"Hey Cyron!" I turned my head and beamed a wide smile.

"Ikaw fifth year ka na. The long wait is over! Malapit ka na maging isang ganap na engineer!"

"Hmm..." He simply nodded and crossed his arms.

Napa-ismid ako sa napaka-energetic niyang tugon. Tss. Mas excited pa ata ako kaysa sa kaniya.
