"It's okay," Claudia comfortingly says. "You did nothing wrong, it's fine. Whatever these consequences are, I'll take care of them. Alright? Just be happy and move on, it's obvious Tina was never really your friend."

"I hate assembly," Lorelei groans. Emily nods her head in agreement, "it's so annoying. It's absolutely useless as well, aside from Katheryne's vegan announcements there is nothing interesting about it. Not to mention, it takes up so much of our lunchtime. It goes overtime all of the time, I hate it so much I want to jump off of a cliff."

"Same," Aubrey boredly drawls. "I can't even go on my phone during it which makes it even worse. How am I supposed to live, without my fictional boyfriends? Assembly is honestly so annoying, I want to cry right now. But I can't, because if I do then people will know that I have feelings."

"Is that really a bad thing?" I gently asked.

"Yes, it is. Because if people know I have feelings they'll treat me weirdly. It's better to act like you don't care at all, and have no feelings."

"I don't really think that's healthy," Jolene reasons. "And nobody is going to judge you for showing your emotions in public."

"I will," Aubrey shoots back. Jolene rolls her eyes in annoyance, shaking her head.

"Do you think that in assembly today, this will be the day that the whole crowd will end up singing the Harry Potter song with me?" Abigail frantically asks. Everybody hangs their heads, nobody having the energy to answer her. "Come on guys, there's nothing wrong with the song... Right?"

"Everything is wrong with it." We all collectively say.

"Psst... Guys, I need to tell you something..." Angel says, very hushed - creeping over to us. We all stare at her bewilderedly. I kind of forgot that Angel was a spy for us, it slipped my mind. "Jasmine, you need to end your campaign. I just found out about what Alexis and her friends are planning. It's really not good, I promise that their punishment is not worth a silly crown."

"What are they planning?" I curiously asked. Angel looks around, taking my arm and leading me into a more secluded place.

"They're planning to expose something very personal. It's about your family, I'm not exactly sure on the specifics... But it's horrible, as far as what Alexis has described to us so far. I'd advise you to end it right now, before you do something that you regret."

"Do you know everybody involved in it?"

"No, I don't. There's this one person who's a complete secret, that Alexis is the only one who knows about it. It's a complete secret, nobody except for her knows who it is. Nobody knows what information is being leaked except for her and her informant."

"You're saying that... One of my friends is really an informant for Alexis?"

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. But I have no idea who. Alexis isn't going to risk telling anybody."

Who could it be? Who would it be? It couldn't be either Lorelei or Emily, Alexis hated them as much as they hated her. Abigail was completely oblivious to most of the things going on in our group, so I highly doubt it was her. It could be Aubrey, but she mostly spent her time reading manga or watching anime - and couldn't care less. Was it Alice? That was entirely possible, but then why would she tell me about Tina? Or was she trying to gain my trust?

Or could it be Luke? Impossible, he was probably one of the sweetest people that I've ever met. It could not be him. I would bet money it was not him.

"Thank you so much for the warning," I thank Angel. She lightly smiles, prancing off into the assembly hall.

"What did Angel tell you?" Lorelei quietly asks as I take a seat down next to her. "Anything good?"

"Yes... Apparently if I don't end my campaign something terrible will be revealed soon about my family. But I really don't know what it'd be that they'd be revealing. There's nothing interesting about my family."

"That's strange. Maybe Alexis was just boasting about something weird..?"

"Yeah, probably."

"Welcome everybody to another vegan declaration day!" Katheryne announces, standing up proud with her microphone. "I would sing the vegan song, but apparently we're on a really tight schedule. So, instead, I'm going to be adhering to a strict schedule... Anyways, so tonight is prom! Isn't that cool?"

Everybody cheers, and Katheryne grins at the positive response.

"So, apparently Alexis of the student council has a special announcement to give to everybody. So, I guess without further ado - Alexis, here is the microphone. Make sure to be really careful with it, because the sensitive are actually really sensitive, okay?"

Alexis grins, taking the microphone from her.

"I must confess that I'm not actually here to talk about boring student council things such as fundraisers or anything like that..." Alexis starts off. Lorelei shares a knowing look with me, and I visibly tense up. Whatever she was about to reveal wasn't that bad, was it?

"Don't worry, it's probably not even that bad..." Lorelei whispers, "it's probably just some embarrassing story from when you were children. She's going to embarrass herself."

Suddenly, the big screen on the TV changes - and instead the contents on it horrify me.

It isn't anything embarrassing. It's mortifying.

It isn't anything bad. It's deplorable.

Lorelei immediately pulls me into a hug, and I can't stop the silent tears from slipping out of my eyes while everybody is dead silent - and I swear I can feel their judgemental stares looking at me throughout the whole hall. Even in the darkness, I know that they're looking at me. I know Claudia is probably scrambling out of her seat to find me and as soon as possible.

What Alexis and her cronies showed on a screen was a mugshot.

A mugshot of my father.

"Let's go," Claudia hastily says - pulling onto my arm roughly. "I'm driving us home, let's leave."
