So when she offered for me to sit down at lunch with her and her friends, I couldn't refuse.

-- ------ --

The cafeteria has a weird pungent smell that makes it almost unbearable to sit in, but when you get further in it starts to get more and more tolerable until you can't smell it anymore. I'm pretty sure it's because some weird sophomores like to scrub some random juice or something that makes it really bad.

Most of the tables in the cafeteria are light grey, with the exceptions of the tables kept in really bad order that are more black or brown then anything. There are wide huge windows for letting the lights seep in and blind some of the students that unluckily have to put up sitting there.

Lilliana and I take our trays and walk over to Alexis' lunch table in the middle of the whole room. All of her friends are crowded around talking about Jolene, the chubby short waddly girl in class earlier.

I look around the cafeteria and I can see Lorelei, Emily and Jolene sitting together at a small table in the corner. Emily is intensely reading our new math textbook and Lorelei is erratically talking with Jolene, flailing her arms around like a maniac.

"Hey guys," Alexis greets as we both sit down on the far end of the table next to this small girl with amber hair.

"I'm Angel," the small girl suddenly says to me, taking out her hand for me to shake. "We've heard a lot about you, Jasmine."

"I'm sure you have," I smile back, shaking her extended hand out to me.

"We were just talking about that girl, Jolene. She's kinda ugly, don't you think?" Alexis explained. "Her acne reminds me of your outbreak that you had before Iris, remember?"

Iris, the tall girl with short hair sitting next to Alexis snorts loudly while this little asian girl opposite of her starts giggling uncontrollably.

"It was pretty bad," Iris agreed. "Probably even worse than mine though."

"That's an understatement," The little asian girl meanly cackled. "Her whole face is covered by them."

Lilliana and I uncomfortably sit there, listening in on the hurtful gossip the whole table is talking about. I take a few occasional glances at Lorelei, Emily and Jolene who look like they are having fun. Lilac is sitting at another table with her new friends she's probably made while she was in Math class. I'm only saying this because Lila hates math, and this year she got put in extra-support since she's just passing.

I can feel my phone buzzing silently in my bag that's slumped down on the floor next to my foot. It's probably Tina asking me about how my day is going, then she's probably going to start ranting about Amelia, the class bully at our middle school that unfortunately was going to be stuck with Tina for the next four years of her life.

I try to ignore it and continue to listen to what Alexis and her friends are saying until I can't take it anymore.

"Guys, I'm just gonna go to the bathroom." I curtly say, standing up.

I take my backpack and I speed out, heading straight for an empty cubicle to look at what Tina had sent me.

Tina- I hate my life rn. Amelia's in my class and she's already becoming a teachers pet :(

I smile, even though I do feel kinda bad for her. Amelia was probably making her frustrated by talking to her all during class, and pretending to be that perfect little student that everyone had loved.

Me- Lmao just wait for her to snap

Tina- She's so fucking annoying sometimes

Me- Hey language! This is a christian server!

Tina- soz :)

Me- U-know-who is screaming rn

Tina- aha

You-know-who is Lilliana. Once I may or may not have insulted her (as a joke) and I said soz right after I said it. She went on a rant about why I shouldn't had said that, and something about how it's not the proper way to say sorry.

Tina- K i gtg and do some math now, ttyl?

Me- ttyl :

I tap out of my phone and realise that it'll probably be time for class again soon. I flush the toilet as if I had been there and stash my phone back into my backpack. I open the cubicle door wide and wash my hands like someone would if they had really gone.

When I was younger I wouldn't wash my hands after going to the bathroom. All the bacteria had been accumulating inside and one day it had gotten too much for my body to handle. It started off with a really sharp pain in my stomach at random times, than it decided to go full time.

I ended up at the Emergency Room in the hospital at one o-clock in the morning. It was a good experience, now I always wash my hands.

To my surprise, Lilliana is outside the bathroom waiting for me, arms crossed.

"You left me all alone there!" She playfully whined as we both walked off to French.

"I had to pee! Did you really want me to piss my pants?" I smile as I reply back.

"It would've been pretty funny."

"The pee would've gotten on your jeans."

"Touche."
