Conquest was not satisfying if it began with a surrender

Flesh being torn off like wet paper. The blade piercing the body with ease. The red liquid colouring the boring ground as it always did.
Satisfaction washed over him as usually when he'd finished his work of art. It was as beautifully executed as always. The eyelids were removed, the lips had been given a new smile like the one he himself had. And the sentence had been carved in the man's stomach, the letters glowing beautifully red on the white skin. Jeff breathed heavily. Another successful haunt. But then he remembered.
This person wasn't the only one here with him now.
There was another toy watching every move he made.
Such an interesting turn, hehehe...
He rose to his feet and his gaze fell on the girl sitting on the ground underneath the street lights. He could see that wonderful expression of utterly fear written all over her face. He stepped over the corpse and had his knife in a strong grip. The blood of the man dripped from his hair and face, tickling him before landing on the hoodie colouring it more red.
Jeff noticed how the girl's eyes widened once she realized he was walking slowly towards her.
I don't need to run for this one, she's already given up.
What a boring toy really. Ugh.
Nora tried to get up but her legs felt heavy like lead.
I need to get out of here or else I'll be..I'll be -
She forced herself up and was greeted with a sight that burned itself into her mind.
A pale hand clasping the knife as he slowly came closer and closer.
It was without any doubts the killer. The deranged and utterly psychotic man who had been haunting and killing people in her home town for more than a week now, leaving people in piles completely gutted.
He had now found his next victim.
Her.
She stood up and backed away from the approaching man.
Or was it even a man?
Her gaze shifted from left to right as the killer slowly came closer and closer to her. What should she do?
If I run home he will only follow me there. But if I run back to school, I might accidentally lead him to my friends...
Home.
Unfortunately she'd miss judge the distance between her and her perpetrator.
Before she even could react the man was in front of her, staring down making her tremble ans her blood to run cold.
This was bad. Really, really bad.
With all the power her legs could provide her with she lashed out to the side anything to escape this horrible person. However, this guy seemed to have already figured her plan out and before she even had the chance to turn her body, his free hand took a hard grip around her hair and yanked her head up so his eyes were staring right into hers, as she felt the cold blade against her throat.
The hood fell down from his head and reveled his black hair and the disgusting face of his.
A smile that would have left the joker from Batman green with envy, smiled down at her. But it wasn't a normal smile, instead it looked like he'd taken a sharp tool and cut the corner of his lips up to his cheeks completely open. His skin was unnaturally pale with a leather-ish look to it. As if he'd been caught in a fire and become seriously burned.
