Stranger there in the shadow

I am watching you, waiting

Night will belong to me

Intimate nightmares to visit

Soon we dance in our minds

Taking you to dark places unknown

Ecstacy of my forbidden touch

- Chris Smith

He'd barely gotten any sleep last night. No matter what he did he couldn't get that feeling of someone watching his every single movement to leave him. Once he'd finally fallen asleep he'd experienced horrible nightmares that caused him to nearly scream and gasp for oxygen when he'd been thrown out of them and woken up. Everytime he'd managed to fallen asleep the same dream would appear infront of his vision. Now when he spent time thinking about it, it gave him goosebumps over his entire body and made the flesh underneath his skinn to crawl. Those dreams had been so disturbing and detailed that it was difficult to not think them as real. The dark forest with its milk-white fog and long old tree trunks with their wicked branches was still so clear and visible in his mind and that feeling of being followed by something had him nearly panic. The thought of taking the day off from school felt so appealing for the moment that it almost itched in his fingertips to open up his computer and report him sick today. However the thought of being completely alone left an icy handprint on his trembling back, thus making the choice obvious.

A fly's buzzing caused him to nearly fall down from the bed and onto the cold floor while his eyes searched for the sound that was making him feel anxious. He'd been on edge ever since he met Nora outside the store last Sunday - his adrenaline had been pumping and he felt almost a little bit high when he'd been walking home. Of course he'd just shaken it off of him as a result of finding Nora's secret out.

Although, perhaps there had been something watching him - someone he hadn't seen as he was turning back home again after his little walk to the store.

No, you idiot. You're making things up - you saw nobody because nobody was there.

Or, what if someone actually was there - watching him after all from the shadows...

Jim'd never experienced a panic attack ever in his life before but right now, that feeling of being alone but on the same time not kept messing with his head and causing the heart to beat rapidly. He began to feel dizzy and disgustingly nauseas while the room ever so slightly began to spinn. He fell down from the bed while clutching his head with his cold sweaty hands. The tremblings were almost escalating into violent shakings which wouldn't stop - and if someone had seen him they'd probably thought he was having an epileptic seizure despite him not being diagnosed with it.

"I need to concentrate on something...One thing that can pull me back together. Just one thing"

Her.

Nora.

The thought of her, that friendly face and those pretty eyes, almost instantly made his shakings to become less and less until he was completely still. The sweat was dripping from his forehead and his hands were sticky from clutching it tightly. The thought of her smile gave him peace for some reason, although as much as it calmed him it also birthed a feeling of helpless and desperation - even anger to slowly burn in his chest once he thought of her.

He was almost 99% sure that she was helping the infamous serial-killer Jeff in his quest to continue killing people in their town - he even believed he'd figured out why.
