When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine,
That all the world will be in love with night,
And pay no worship to the garish sun
- William Shakespeare

Screams and cries of terror and agony rang in Nora's ears as she began waking up. It was nearly pitch black and quiet while the branches from the trees were moving in the light breeze. Her body felt cold and as soon as she tried to move she cried out in pain. Something was wrong with her left shoulder. The pain was indescribable and hurt like hell. Nora forced herself up but immediately fell back down to the ground again once she tried standing up. Instead she leaned her back against a nearby tree and had to force herself from not screaming once she saw the scene in front of her. The flashlights laid here and there on the dirty and cool ground while their lights were flickering. The bodies of the policemen laid on the ground gutted or without heads in piles. Nora became paralyzed as she couldn't believe the scene displayed in front of her. It was difficult to think this wasn't a scene from a horror movie but reality.
Was all of this Jeff's doing?
She'd no idea what time it could possible be or what had happened to her shoulder. However one thing she did know;
She needed to get away from this place now.
Her body screamed in pain as she forced herself up on her wobbly legs with help from the huge sprout's trunk. She turned around and wanted nothing more than to forget the brutal and gruesome scene that laid displayed in front of her. As she began limping away slowly the moon came back and provided her with some light as she dragged her feet.
Where the hell was Jeff?
Frustration, sorrow, pain and anger. She couldn't decided which one of those feelings that described her situation best and ended up instead in a mixture of them all. She was furious on Jeff for leaving her out here, sad for the fate of the policemen and Sara and frustrated due to the pain in her shoulder. Where the hell had Jeff gone, that freaking idiot and how could he just leave her here alone? Nora tried her best to remember the path they'd walked but it was in vain. A root made her trip and caused her to fall forward and land on her injured shoulder. Before she could stop herself she screamed in pain. The forest swallowed her cries of despair as she laid there cold and abandoned. She closed her eyes as they felt more and more heavy and the surroundings began to blur out once more, until she pasted out again.
That familiar smell.
I don't like it, but it's still in a way a form of safety.
Is someone carrying me?
Is it, Dad?
No, he's not home.
I'm so cold, but something is warmth.
Help me, anyone please...
Nora woke up in her bed, head and body hurting like hell. Her shoulder burnt like fire and refused to obey her when she wanted it to move. Afraid she fell down from the bed her head spinning. Tears rolled down her cheeks once the memories of what had happened came back to her. She sat up and cried, her hands and face soaked with salty tears and dried blood. The fact she'd come home in some way didn't comfort her the slightest. She remembered the gunfires, Jeff's deranged face when he cut them all down, their bodies and all that blood...
