Chapter 51: Modern Day Life Lesson Thirty Four

A/N: Heeeeeey back from midterm hell and finally have some time to write XDD still have one more midterm but that's two weeks away so it'll be fine XD here starts the new events in the new semester!! Enjoy!!!!

It was at the end of January, the following day that the Student Association made the two big announcements. The 10th and 11th graders were taking their classes with higher excitement in the air than usual, and the 12th graders, now with their college entrance exams finished, were finally freed from the heavy studying, and quite a few of them went to the Student Association and told the members that they would like to volunteer to help prepare for the next event, and Subaru and Hinata were among the people who came.

Shibata of course wholeheartedly thanked everyone who offered them help and told them that the Student Association, like the last time during the preparation of the Yuki Matsuri, would send out a volunteering form to the whole school so anyone who wanted to help could sign up for it. And when Subaru and Hinata paid their visit to the Student Association classroom, Subaru, along with Hinata, was brought to their meeting room by Shibata.

Everyone else in the Student Association except Shiori was there, as it was now the self-study period for the 12th graders and the 10th graders still had classes, and the three of them took their seats. Subaru looked widely around and saw everyone looking at him with a grin. "Eto... why are we suddenly brought to the meeting room?" He asked, and Hinata nodded beside him. "Well, you see, Natsuki-kun, after the very successful Yuki Matsuri, we basically consider you and Roswaal-san our members, so we'd like to hear from you too." Shibata said, smiling. "I'm sure you all know that we're doing a Valentine's event, and we think we've come up with some pretty nice ideas too, but you know, it's always good to spice things up even more, and you have the ability to do so." Ishida said, handing him a folder.

"Iya~~ it's kinda embarrassing hearing that~ I'm not that good, really, haha." Subaru said, blushing slightly and taking the folder from Ishida. "There's no denying that you and Roswaal-san together helped us make the Yuki Matsuri one of the most memorable events in our school history, so don't feel embarrassed and show us more of the innovation you have." Shibata said, and noticing that Hinata was restraining himself from peeking at what was inside the folder really hard, he turned to him.

"Natsuno-kun, you may look too. After all, we are hoping that you would be our art director for the decoration of the event. We are very impressed with your club's final project and have been thinking about scouting you ever since." Shibata said, and Hinata's eyes started gleaming. "Whoa what really??? Yeah I'll do my best!!! Thanks!!!!" He shouted as he punched his fists in the air in excitement and surprise and scooped closer to Subaru and buried his face in the folder. The two spent a little more time reading the event's outline, and when they were finished, Subaru let out a sigh in admiration.

"This is amazing, can't think of anything else to say." Subaru said, handing the folder back to Shibata. "Yeah Kaichou!! This has to be the best Valentine's event of all time! The dancing and chocolate contest and confession podium and that last part... wow...!!!" Hinata muttered in awe. "It's really cool, right?? I've been wanting to add a dancing part in these events ever since the Cultural Festival because we had to cancel it. Now we finally get a chance to do it! I'm really glad Kaichou accepted our proposal!!" Izumi said excitedly, and Izumo nodded with a proud look on her face.

Subaru and Hinata exchanged looks and nodded. "We'll do our best to help!!" The two said in unison, and Shibata nodded. "Glad to hear that, Natsuki-kun, Natsuno-kun. Now that you've seen what we're gonna be doing, may I hear what some of your ideas?" He said, crossing his fingers together. "Hai, Kaichou! I think we can start with adding additional designs to some of the decorations!!" Hinata's hand was already in the air. "Decorations, is it? That's a good start." Shibata said, and they turned to Subaru, who had his arms folded and looking like he was ruminating on something.
