Chapter 99: Modern Day Life Graduation Part Thirteen

"Hold it...!!! Hold it...!!! Hold...!!! It...!!! And time!! Thirty seconds!!!" Hinata shouted as all four of them lifted their magic at the same time, panting but not dropping their knees like they did two days ago. This was the fourth afternoon since Roswaal gave them the seven days estimation, and they had finally reached the threshold of thirty seconds without anyone getting hurt or getting alarming fatigue after using magic. "HOLY SHIT YOU DID IT!!!!" Subaru shouted as he, Hinata, and Aki started punching their fists at the ceiling in celebration while Haruka held her fists lightly together, her mouth open and screaming a silent scream. "This is seriously impressive! Even people in the Hihara family had to go through long periods of serious training to get to your level! Simply astounding!" Antonella said and wiped away the sweat on her chin, her eyes showing great admiration for the three. "Thanks! Antonella-san! And we couldn't have done it without you!!" Hinata said, stopping their punching and turning to her, comical tears still streaming down his face. "It's really really really nice of you for everything you've done for Subaru and the girls and us!! We barely know you and yet you're here doing all these crazy magics with us!! We can't thank you enough for it!!! We owe you a suuuuuuuuper big one for this!!!" He shouted, grabbing her hands and shaking them. Antonella looked a bit shaken when Hinata let go of her. "N-No worries don't mention it..." She said somewhat feebly as she averted Hinata's eyes, brushing her hair out of her face. "Heh, seriously, what's given Hinata such good affinity with blonde ladies??" Subaru snickered to Aki, who smirked back. "Genes from his mom's side probably." He said, and Haruka knocked the two on the elbows.

Antonella seemed to have snapped back at the moment. "Well, it is true that I don't know you personally, and you don't know me that well either, but I'm kind of your fan. I've heard quite much about you from your teachers, you know. They really do speak very highly of you, all of you." She said. "I'm pretty sure there's some exaggeration in it, haha." Hinata replied as the four all blushed slightly from hearing how highly Kishitsuji sensei regarded them. "Maybe, I wouldn't know, but what I do know is that Kaname-kun has never shown that much emotion and interest when talking about his other students, but when it comes to you four, especially you, Natsuki-kun, his attitude would change completely. This is saying something, and that's a solid proof of how much you've achieved and impressed him. If you're someone who changes Kaname-kun that much, you must be extraordinary. That alone is a good enough reason for me to give all out helping you. Think of it as my way of showing appreciation to his students who brought such amazing changes to him." Antonellla finished with a soft smile. Subaru, Aki, and Haruka were all burying their faces in their hands while steam came out from their ears. "Ahaha, this reminds me of Koro-sensei." Hinata said, laughing with his cheeks and ears going red from the compliments as well.

"Mina-san, please take a well-deserved break! Rem has already prepared refreshment and drinks." Rem said, bowing her head and gesturing at the table. It was already set with plates of cookies and cups and two tea pots, and in one of the chairs sat Ram, already enjoying Rem's handmade cookies. "Dakara, why's Nee-sama always the first by the table as if she made the whole thing... hahaha..." Subaru chuckled defeatedly as the rest sat down too. Rem went back to the kitchen and brought out two more plates for Emilia, Beatrice, and Puck, who were sitting on the sofa and watching the rest of them. "Hai, Emilia-sama, Beatrice-sama, Puck-sama. Thank you for monitoring everyone's practice." Rem said, smiling. "Nah, it's fine. There really isn't much for us to do now. The rebound stopped happening now, and the three don't show as much fatigue after each session too. Their adaptability to magic usage is simply otherworldly. We're basically just here to make sure nothing goes south and hurts them, and so far, they're holding it up spectacularly." Puck said, reaching his paws at the plate and picked up the cookie that was about the size of his face.
