At last, a way to go back safely was found, and nobody would be harmed in the process. This news was so good that it raised everyone's morale by two hundred percent and the euphoria filled up the apartment completely. Under such high levels of excitement, Hinata, Aki, and Haruka went back practicing, putting their utmost efforts into reaching for the 30 seconds time requirement. Antonella joined them in every session, and she was impressed by how quickly the three were adapting to magic. Finally, in early evening, the practices for the day came to an end, and the exhausted three slumped themselves back on the sofa. Antonella, exhausted as well but not as much as they were, agreed to come join their practice as soon as she could tomorrow. Before Antonella went, Rem didn't forget her promise of providing her names of the people who might be interested in working at her restaurant, and after receiving the names and hearing their skills in cooking, Antonella left the apartment looking as if all exhaustion was lost. After seeing her off, Subaru, Rem, and Ram went out to buy some groceries for dinner. "Great work today, minna. I'm so impressed by you all! Already able to hold the magic for at least twenty five seconds, you can be prouder of yourselves. We're way ahead of schedule, and you'll definitely be ready when the day comes." Puck said in a very impressed tone at the three as he gave them a tap of his paw on each of their forehead as a sign of his appreciation. "I'm glad to hear that, Puck-san, haha. I'm so happy that we can make it in time!" He said, grinning. "I have a question though. Antonella-san is a magic user native to this world, and her magic doesn't cause any sort of side effects to her. Could there be a way to stop our mana rebound eventually and become like her?" He asked, and, hearing this question, both Puck and Beatrice tilted their heads in rumination.

"It is hard to say, Betty supposes. What is happening to you is rather unforeseen, unprecedented, in fact. Betty knows of many injuries or defects related to overuse of magic, but simply getting harmed from using magic alone and not because of a defective Gate, that truly is unheard of, Betty supposes." Beatrice said, frowning slightly. "It could be that the mana from two worlds are, instead of fusing together into one homogenous form, fighting against each other. If this is the case, over time the two different mana would become one, but I'm guessing that requires magic to be used regularly and continuously, which might be difficult for you because once we are gone, there won't be anyone to heal you. Unless you use magic when all four of you are present, but that also makes using magic like that impractical since even if with just one of you missing, the balance could be broken and the rebound would happen again." Puck said, folding his arms. "And this is all just theory. We don't know exactly what is going on with you three. So I'd advise you to not use magic carelessly once we're gone. It could endanger yourselves and the people around you." He added sternly. "I understand, Puck-san. As much as I want to incorporate magic into my daily life, I'll refrain from doing that." Hinata saluted at him, laughing. "Yoroshii, nyahahaha." Puck chuckled too.

"I have a different question." Haruka said, raising her hand. "What is it?" Puck asked, turning to her. "You say mana can also enhance your physical ability to some extent. What if we don't use mana for magic but use it for bodily enhancement instead? Like using it to boost stamina in general or making us better fighters?" She asked. "Ah, I suppose you are going in the direction of the Flow Method. True, there is a different form of physical ability enhancing magic called the Flow Method in our world, but to gain mastery of the Flow Method, you'll need to be trained in a specific way rather intensely, and it is quite unlikely to grasp that on your own" Puck answered. "Ah... alright then. Looks like magic really will not be something that we can use in the future, then." Haruka said, her shoulders drooping slightly. "Yeah if only we can figure out a way to stop this rebound..." Aki muttered. "Well, there is also a chance that once we are gone, your mana naturally gets replaced by the mana in this world, and the problem fixes itself. The mana concentration in this world is very high. Maybe the rebound will just disappear a while later. We don't know, but it's alright to be hopeful." Puck said, giving them a wink. "Is that so?? Alright I'll still be hopeful then!!" Hinata said, grinning. "How come there's mana in this world to begin with though? It's so weird." Aki said. "We have no idea about that at all." Puck said. "When we first got here, we had some theories, but it is mostly us guessing and we never found proof." Emilia chimed in. "What we think is the most likely is that mana is just part of the world naturally, and the living beings in this world never developed the ability to take in mana, so while mana exists, it is never used, which is why the mana concentration is so high." She said. "Or it could just be nitrogen. The air's full of it and the human body doesn't use it. Maybe that's just it." Aki said, chuckling, and light burst out from Hinata's eyes. "Oh my god Aki you just gave me a super cool idea!! Thanks!! I gotta write it down!!!" Hinata shouted as he started typing down things rapidly on his phone. "Don't mention it." Aki waved his hand lazily.
