Legolas and Tauriel had returned to Mirkwood,the loss of Elanor weighed upon both their hearts.Her last words to them constantly rang in Tauriel's ears.Se had dedicated er first week back to Elanor as she would dress like Elanor for patrol.One nigt,just as usual she was on duty,when she heard a great boom near the southern border and saw fire rising.She asked the guard beside her to see what was happening there and headed to inform the palace and get more help.
When she reached the palace,Legolas was there and ready to go fight.
"It's an attack at the southern border."
"And a big one it appears to be."
She nods."We should go quickly"
They took the remaining guards along and headed for the border.Reaching there,a scene of devastation met their eyes.Fire and smoke were everywhere.Immediately,they spread out and started to fight.It was a hard battle.
Tauriel found herself face to face wit Narzug.An old enemy who had killed her parents.She was so busy figting him,she did not realize he was leading her into a burning watch tower.All of a sudden,her vision was obscured by smoke.What's going on? she thought.
She felt movement on her right side and blindly swung her dagger,she hit something but it was not the orc.A piercing yell of pain made her realize she had stabbed another elf.She was strrong enought to drag the ellon's body out of the tower as it collapsed before her eyes.Admist all the smoke and dust,she tried to figure out who it was.
She finally saw who it was,and let out a scream.She thought she may faint.It was Legolas!
"LEGOLAAS!I'm sorry ernil nin!"
Legolas was weak.He was bleeding bad.The dagger had hit him hard as the wound was deep.Her heart was filled with guilt and she was crying,oblivious to all the commotion around her.But he would not open his eyes.
She got an elf to take him to the palace and killing the last of the orcs,she ran after them.Narzug had escaped.She cursed him as she ran.Reaching the palace,she saw Legolas in bed.His wound was bandaged.
"Oh,Legolas,please.I can't lose you too!"she said and cried on his arm.But he didnot wake up.Fear overtook her heart.
