The road to love (Legoriel Fanfic)

No female guards?

  Tauriel settled into the palace quite well.She befriended Legolas fairly easily despite his meek behavior.And more importantly,Thranduil was impressed by her eagerness in everything.Getting on the king's good side was a hard job, relatively but she managed.

  One day,she was roaming the realm aimlessly when she stumbled upon a wide clearing.Many elven guards were practicing there.She was fascinated by their elegance, the way they just carried themselves so easily through the very toughest of places.Looking up,she saw Legolas perched in the tree beside where she was standing and climbed up to him. Legolas' shyness was all gone and he greeted her with a smile.

  Both the elves sat and watched the guards train for some time,then Tauriel said, "Legolas,dont you ever wonder why there are no females in the guard?"  Legolas smiled and said,"Women aren't supposed to be in the battlefield,They are supposed to stay at home"

    Tauriel was outraged by this notion."Well, that's not fair!I think they desrve everything men do!",she said. Legolas only smiled at that but some time later,when they were walking back to the palace together,he said,"What you said has a point,maybe you should talk to father about it.He likes you,he'll listen to you."

     Legolas had to go study,so Tauriel went off to the king and placed her problem before him.Thranduil was a little surprised at this,but he managed to say,"Perhaps one day,you will become a good guard of Eryn Galen, little one"

     That night,Tauriel promised herself that she would train hard and learn to fight so well,she would be captain of the guard.Little did she know,fate meant that to happen,exactly.
