CHAPTER ONE
The Doctor's Office

Two weeks into July, Amos and Deborah had come to the conclusion that their niece was to see someone due to her abnormal behavior — constant worry, anger, fidgeting, and talking aloud to herself (more than usual). It wasn't until the fifteenth that Aurora found herself anxiously sitting on the examination bed waiting for a doctor to walk in and ask about her symptoms like every doctor would do.

After Cedric's death and burial, she had thought that her aunt wouldn't have taken her to a muggle doctor, considering that the death of a family member was something the family should mourn together. On the contrary, Deborah believed her niece's health was much more important than mourning at the current moment. Amos too agreed, though believed that Aurora was only acting that certain way because she felt alone and blamed herself.

Her thoughts seemed to vanish at the interruption of a nurse walking in wearing a uniform like every other nurse around. Her long dirty blonde hair was tied back in a ponytail, not too high nor too low. The woman was young, in her early or mid-thirties — Aurora reckoned.

The nurse looked up from her chart with a smile on her pink lips. "You must be Aurora Hagen, correct?" Her blue eyes met with the patient.

Aurora nodded her head as she half smiled. "That's me," she said almost in a whisper.

"I'm Marianne West and I'll be your nurse for today, Dr. Vance will come in here after I'm done." the nurse informed Aurora. "So, can you tell me what's wrong? What's the reason for your visit today?" She took a seat on the chair in front of the desktop computer.

Great, I have to be the one to explain, Aurora thought. What am I supposed to say? She'll think I'm crazy, she'll lock me up. I'll be put into a mental hospital, an insane asylum perhaps? This is stupid, I've got some luck, don't I?

"Erm–Well, I'm not really sure how to explain it," Aurora started. "I tend to have these headaches at times, these headaches tend to last some time, and on a few occasions, rarely, I lose consciousness. Last year, it happened about... what, three to four times? I can't really remember. Now, this is where it gets crazy, all of that usually happens when something bad is going to happen or something is happening though I'm not aware of it. Call it intuition, I guess, I'm not sure."

"Okay, wow." That was all Nurse West could say as she typed everything Aurora had said on the computer.

"Oh, I tend to get nightmares frequently too, but I guess it's just trauma," Aurora added.
