CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE
❝ When Walls Start to Crumble ❞As a child, Aurora had believed that violence was never the answer to solving a problem. Growing up in a household where violence wasn't tolerated taught her and ensured her that if she ever resulted to violence, there would be consequences and a sort of punishment. Aurora made sure to remind herself of that as she grew and became a teenager, who like most, became impatient and tempered. However, there were times when her frustration would get the best of her and have her result in bad behavior.
Especially when someone she disliked very much — that being Graham Montague — placed his hands on a young teenage girl, a friend that she held dear despite their differences — that being Daphne Greengrass — and was able to get away with it because they were just small and weak females compared to him — a big and strong man.
The consequences didn't matter to Aurora when she got herself involved and it certainly didn't matter now when she was sitting in a compartment alongside her Slytherin friends, who too had involved themselves in the fight against one of their own housemates, Graham Montague. Though, the only ones really being punished were Blaise Zabini, Theodore Nott, and Adrian Pucey (he tried to separate the fight but was pulled into the fight when Montague said some nasty things about Tracey Davis, who turned out to be his girlfriend for some time now). They were the ones severely being scolded by one of the oldest prefects for their outrageous inappropriate behavior towards one another while the Head Boy dealt with Montague.
"...If I catch either of you on this end of the compartment, I will have a word with the Headmaster and have you all expelled," the prefect warned. "Not one of you are children to be acting like one–"
"None of this would've happened if Montague learned to keep his hands to himself and his mouth shut," Aurora blurted out angrily, clearly still not over the situation. "If you really want to get someone expelled, have him thrown out. He doesn't deserve to be—"
Her words died out when Theodore placed his hand on her knee and gave her a look that told her it was best to stay quiet. Although she did not want to, she knew if anything more escaped her mouth, she'd end up just like the rest of them. Thus, she got up and stormed out. Not a second later, Daphne too came out from the compartment. Both of them were met with Tracey, Pansy, and Draco, who were all plainly impatient.
Immediately, Tracey jumped into their arms and asked question after question. Aurora nor Daphne were able to answer in full sentences without Tracey or Pansy assuming one thing and then another. Draco, who stood annoyed and impatient, pulled Tracey away and suggested she let Aurora and Daphne talk.
However, just as Daphne opened her mouth to speak, the door across from them opened; Montague stood at the entrance with the Head Boy right behind him. Draco and Pansy, who stood in the way, moved aside and glowered at the sixth-year with so much contempt that Aurora had to take a small step forward in case they were to launch themselves at him. Much to her relief, though, she did not need to take action whatsoever. Graham strolled right past them with a very smug look on his face, which happened to be healed up from any injuries he got during the fight.
