Dreaming, to say the least, was a mystery. You could never expect the outcome, so you had to let it flow mindlessly. Even if you did know where it would lead you, you couldn't force the dream to change, because that's how dreams worked. It was living in a world between your conscious and reality; so confusing and yet so . . . alluring to Vegeta.
Today, though, this dream . . . this dream confused him. He couldn't tell what was happening, but it knew it resulted in his death. He stood in front of someone in orange, and it sounded like they were yelling at him. Why was that, did he do something wrong? He raised his right hand and formed a ball of light. He could do that?
He heard the someone yell again as he released the ball to a . . . stand of people- what was he doing?! Then he heard his own voice, loud and clear. "Tell me," the name came out garbled before his voice return, bold and cruel. "is it slavery if you get what you want?"
A loud ringing in his ears jolted the raven-head awake, making him sit up abruptly. He clenched onto his shirt, where his heart was. God, what was that? These dreams weren't helping him. He heard a scream mixed with the clock's ringing and turned to see his roommate fall off the bed. He took a deep breath and frowned. In the end, a dream is a dream. Nothing more, nothing less.
Goku winced and rubbed his head. "That was not what I was expecting when I woke up, ow . . ." He glanced at the shorter boy and smiled at his frown. "Good morning! Or, afternoon. What time is it?"
Vegeta rolled his eyes and glanced at his clock, before jumping off his bed. "12:15. Come on, we've been waking up at this time since orientation, why do you keep asking?" He skimmed through his closet and pulled out a few clothes. He heard the taller male get off the floor and change his clothes behind him.
"Well, you have morning classes too so I just need to be sure, you know? I have no morning classes yet, so it gets confusing for me." He slipped on a pair of old wristbands that he found a while ago in his dad's room.
"Morning classes don't start until tomorrow for me. Besides, I know when to wake up in the morning, so don't worry about losing your beauty sleep." Vegeta pulled a hoodie over him and grabbed his bag and keys.
"Oh, well that's good!" Goku followed him out the door and to the elevator. "So what's your first class?" He got no response as he watched the smaller male stare at the elevator numbers. Vegeta kept ignoring him as they made their way to the bottom of the building and towards the campus. He was in no mood to have a conversation right now, he was busy trying to remember if he collected the proper syllabus for history. He did pick up the proper syllabus on his drawers, right?
Vegeta sighed as Goku kept blabbering on and on once they reached the entrance of the college. He turned around to shut him up, and instead bumped into his chest. "So I- huh?" Goku looked down at the boy who remained frozen and face squished in between his pecs. He felt his face flush and took a few steps back. "Ahaha, sorry about that! Didn't realize I was so close . . ."
The taller male laughed nervously as he saw Vegeta's face, bright red with anger and embarrassment. Said boy looked up at Goku and slowly raised a finger at him. "Just- go to your class, and stop bothering me. Okay?" He didn't bother listening for a response and turned on his heel, speed walking away from the other as fast as he could.
