Goku dumped all his leftovers and hummed to himself as he walked through the hallway, a goofy smile stuck on his face. Finally, after what felt like so long would the two get to be together in peace. Goku thought about planning another date for them, one that didn't bring unexpected goons on their way home.

He took a turn and noticed Vegeta walking around in the hallway, a pensive look on his face. He was supposed to be resting. Goku walked up to him and grinned. "Hey 'Geta!"

Vegeta stiffened at the nickname. After returning to this world and regaining his true memories, he was still trying to wrap around how it was possible. He died a long time ago - just after returning to the land of living no less - and he specifically told Kakarot not to return him back.

Vegeta glanced at the taller male and smiled stiffly. "Kakarot." The stupid namekian said it was Dende's fault this happened. That squirt never did things without reason, and seeing how Zarbon and others are here, it wasn't a good reason. "You took your time."

Goku laughed awkwardly and rubbed his neck, an old habit still kept after so long. "Well, there was a lot of food I wanted to eat. Did I take too long?"

". . . sort of." Vegeta turned around and headed back to the room he came from, the taller male following him closely. "It was getting lonely, so I went to find you." Fine, the smaller male thought.

If I can't go back to how it was before, I'll play the simple lover act.

He just had to keep up false appearances until things could go his way. Goku opened the door for him and grinned childishly. Still the same. "So what have I missed?" Goku asked, plopping back on his bed and patting the space beside him.

"It's only been a day, Kakarot, I doubt much could change from that." The flame-haired boy sat beside him and jutted his nose in the air. "I've only gotten one assignment to do with a partner, nothing else."

"Who?" Vegeta glanced at his lover and smirked. His smile was gone. Oh, this was too good to pass.

"Are you jealous, Kakarot?"

". . . No." Goku looked to the side and hid his red face from the other. "I-I'm just asking. Y'know, just in case I know them. I could help you out too, if uh, um . . ."

Vegeta laughed and shook his head. Well, this was new. In the past, not even Bulma acted this way when he mentioned visiting someone. "It's Broly-"

"Broly?!" Goku immediately turned to glare at the smaller male. "Why him?!"

Vegeta raised an eyebrow, confused. Broly was only a nuisance to them in the past. Now, he was just a classmate of Vegeta's. "I didn't pick him. The teacher did."

"Well then ask them to change it!" Goku had always been a kind person. Even if the people around him acted mean, he still showed them kindness.

Except for Broly.

Ever since those two were kids, Broly bullied him throughout his life; through elementary, middle, and even the beginning of high school, that brute followed him. And now he was here, in their college?! And as Vegeta's partner no less . . . was he trying to steal Vegeta from him?!

"What's wrong with Broly?" Now Vegeta was curious. Did Goku remember their past lives and chose to advise him to stay away because of that? Or was it something else? "He hasn't done much other than introduce himself to me-"
