Vegeta silently watched Goku at one of the cafeteria tables as the taller male happily picked each of every food to eat. He looked so jovial to him, it almost convinced the smaller male that his lover must have been a descendant of some sort, nothing more. A mere coincidence, better yet.

A coincidence too big to ignore just yet.

A soft vibration snapped Vegeta out of his thoughts as he patted his pant pockets. He found the source against his right thigh, slowly heating the wet fabric underneath it. His phone. He was half-expecting it to die in the rain, though to be fair he forgot it existed after he found the book.

He skimmed through his messages and found Bulma spamming him nonstop to answer his phone and tell him where he went. Vegeta sighed and quickly messaged her to pick up his things from his history class and keep them until he came back, and that he'd explain later.

"I'm back!" Goku beamed as the smaller male looked up and saw what the other had in his tray. "I got us a little snack! Hope you don't mind!"

A snack? That . . . that pile of food was a snack? And just when Vegeta thought he had seen it all. He shook his head and sighed. "It's fine, but I'm not hungry-"

"Oh! And I got you some coffee! With extra sugar too!" Goku placed a large cup of light brown liquid in front of the other and watched as the flame-haired boy stared at his drink. "'Cause you look tired."

"Thanks . . ." Vegeta mumbled and held the coffee. He took a tiny sip and kept his eyes away from the taller man. "You know how it is, with the dreams . . ."

Goku stared at the petit male with concern, remembering the issue with his lover's head. Of course he knew how it was with the dreams, he watched Vegeta most nights quietly mumbling nonsense and whatnot. The taller male noticed the boy's shaking hands, and smiled softly.

Goku placed his own hand on Vegeta's forehead, and frowned for a bit when he saw the other flinch for a second. He quickly replaced it with a goofy smile and chuckled. "Did you stay in the rain for too long? You can take a nap if you want in my room."

"Wh-wha-" Vegeta glanced up at the hand and blushed in embarrassment. When did he do that? The smaller male swatted his hand and looked away. "Can't be any more ridiculous, can you?" Vegeta huffed and sipped his coffee. "Fine, I'll go rest. But you better come up too. I still wanna talk."

"Sure! After I eat." Goku grabbed a drumstick from his pile of food and quickly scarfed it down his throat right after. "I'll be done soon!"

"I hope so . . ." Vegeta looked over the pile of food and walked back upstairs, grabbing his coffee as well. The smaller male thought about what he saw in the library. It was no doubt the same "Son Goku" he loved, but . . . there was something off about that one.

Like, it wasn't . . . exactly human.

"Where was his room . . ." Vegeta mumbled and glanced at the passing room numbers. Once he found the door, he opened it slowly. He froze when he heard two voices in there. Both familiar.

"Shouldn't dad be right here-?"

"Perhaps he followed his stomach as always."

"C'mon, Piccolo. My dad isn't always like that-"

"What the fuck?" Gohan and an elderly green man turned to look at Vegeta, eyes wide with surprise. He dropped his cup of coffee, though no one noticed.
