Vegeta sighed for what felt the thousandth time as he saw nothing else but grassy plains and trees. Wherever they were going, it was too far for the boy's liking. "Was this my surprise? Boring farms to stare at all evening?"

"No, but we are close!" Goku beamed and chuckled at the deepening frown forming on the smaller male's face. "Do you really hate being stuck with me for so long?"

Vegeta scoffed and grinned at the other. "I know for a fact you wouldn't have lived as long as you have if I hated you, Kakarot."

The taller male shrugged and nodded. "True, but it's good to ask, right?" He took a turn and looked over the familiar road. "But if it makes you feel better, we're almost at your surprise!" He glanced at the sky as the blood orange and pink light began to descend to a dark blue.

"Finally!" The smaller male looked around in curiosity, trying to find where the blasted thing was. "Why couldn't you have given it to me at the dorms? Why out here?"

"Because it's not something I can bring to the dorms, if that makes sense." He took another turn and entered one of the driveways that continuously passed by. He shut off the engine and laughed when he saw the flame-haired boy scramble out of the car from the corner of his eye.

Vegeta scanned across the fields and peeked at the taller male. "Well? Where is it?" The smaller male crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow as the other stood beside him, his goofy grin never leaving him. "Don't smile at me, I wanna know where it is."

"Soon, soon." Goku looked at the sky again before pulling out the black cloth that had been forgotten hours ago in the truck from his pocket.

Vegeta scowled at him. "Put that on my eyes again I'm kicking your ass, Kakarot." The taller male raised the cloth and took a step towards him. "I mean it, Kakarot." He growled and walked away from the larger boy, knowing he was being followed. "Kakarot, put it away now!"

"But then the surprise will be ruined!" Goku complained and ran towards the smaller male. The flame-haired male bursted into a sprint and kept his distance from the other. "C'mon, just for a while! Please, 'Geta?"

"Fuck you!" Vegeta yelled and darted to the trees nearby. The light from the sun had almost disappeared, and a few white dots shone in the dark. "I'm not wearing that, even if my life depended on it!"

The taller male smiled and continued to run after the smaller male. He wasn't planning on actually blindfolding the flame-haired boy again, he was just doing that for fun. He dropped the cloth and dashed into the rows of trees, his eyes looking around for the other in the dark. "Hey, wait up 'Geta!"

Vegeta just ran and headed to a hill that ascended nearby. He didn't look back, but he knew the oaf was probably still chasing him with the blindfold. He could feel his chest hurting from the sharp breathing, his legs burning as if he came from a marathon. The smaller male slowed down at the foot of the hill and cursed himself. He really needed to get back into shape when this was over.

He looked up and came face-to-face with Goku, bright onyx eyes gleaming at him. Vegeta glared at him, ignoring the aches he felt in his muscles. "You better not put that fucking thing back on me, Kakarot."

"I don't have it anymore, don't worry." Goku smiled and showed his hands to the smaller male. His grin grew wider when he saw relief sink into the other's eyes. "I have good news as well." He pointed to the top of the small mountain of dirt. "Your surprise is waiting for you up there!"
