Note: So this is your classic 'I'm breaking up with you because I'm a werewolf' kind of oneshot. I know this theme is incredibly common, but I thought I'd write it anyway.

It was after hours but I couldn't get my boyfriend- ex-boyfriend out of my head. It'd only been a couple of days since the breakup after all and I was still trying to come to terms with everything. The months we had spent together obviously meant more to me than they did to him, as he so willingly threw that all away.

Something suddenly caught my attention however, as I walked around one of the corridors. Through one of the windows I spotted four recognisable students running across one of the courtyards that led towards the long wooden bridge. I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering what the Marauders would be doing out so late. I wasn't sure whether it was the fact I still loved Remus, or the fact the other three were my friends or whether it was just curiosity but I ended up running down the nearest stairs and across the courtyard. As I stepped onto the long wooden bridge I was just about able to see four figures walk through the archway on the far end.

I trotted down the bridge, looking through the arches running either side and seeing the four running across the grounds towards the strange tree that thrashed its branches about - The Whomping Willow. "What the hell are they doing?" I asked myself quietly as I followed their footsteps but made sure to remain hidden. By the time I had reached the tree I saw James and Sirius dragging Remus through an opening in the roots that I had never spotted before. They disappeared into the darkness, leaving me more confused than ever.

I emerged from my hiding spot, staring at the tree for a moment, it not moving an inch unlike its usual state. Inside of me was a sudden urge to find out what the four of them were up to, so with my wand tightly in my grasp I approached the currently tame tree. Nervously I stepped closer and closer, and I was merely feet away from the hole in which the boys jumped down before the Whomping Willow began to move its branches again. I managed to dive out of the way of a branch that came and slammed down right next to me. I tried crawling as quick as I could towards the hole, adrenaline keeping me going but the entirety of the trunk started to come down upon me giving me no option but to roll out of the way.

I stood up, quickly brushing the dirt off of my clothes as the tree twisted and turned, sending more branches my way. I managed to jump over and dodge them as they came down upon me, and I was slowly managing to weave my way between them and back towards the hole. Suddenly however I had to quickly dodge an attack I didn't see coming, it causing me to stumble backwards. I ended up tripping over one of the many twisted roots poking out from the ground, and much to my surprise the tree slowly stopped its movements. Furrowing my eyebrows I stood up, slightly concerned before picking up my wand I had accidentally dropped. Keeping one eye on the trees movements in the gentle summer breeze, I entered the darkness of the hole leaving the now moonlit Hogwarts grounds.

"Lumos," I muttered, the tip of my wand lighting up the area around me. Above and around me was, as expected, many tree routes but there was a small passage ahead of me that looked to be an underground tunnel. "They must've gone down here," I spoke to myself as I kept my wand in front of me, my eyes peeled for any signs of movement. I was slightly worried that the four of them were perhaps being a little too adventurous, exploring caves and tunnels like this. Either that or this tunnel had something to do with a prank they were planning on pulling on the Gang of Slytherins.

The rocky walls were slightly damp and the ground was just dirt. The tunnel seemed to be going on for far to long, but I knew it was probably too late to turn back now. A part of me wished that I had just left them to it, and just headed back to my common room.
