Warning! This is part two of two, so if you want this to make sense I recommend reading part one!

House: Slytherin

It had been a year since Lupin had started to ignore me. I was in my fourth year of Hogwarts, and he was in his sixth. I had tried to completely forget about him in order to let out my feelings for him but it was much more difficult than I originally thought. (f/n) had to hide the letters we always used to send each other as I found myself re-reading them often, remembering a time when we were inseparable.

I was being introduced to the workload that would come with studying for our O.W.Ls next year, and sat studying in the library often wanting to get good grades. I found myself gravitating towards the table Lupin and I always used to sit at, and I wasn't sure whether it was for sentimental reasons or whether it was just because it was a nice place to sit. Lupin often came into the library meaning we'd see each other, but I'd always look away with gritted teeth. He didn't seem too fussed as he'd always just walk past my table without saying or doing anything.

Since the end of third year I had stopped trying to get Lupin to notice me. If he didn't want to try then I wasn't going to try, it was as simple as that. A small part of me had hoped he'd miss my presence but there was nothing to suggest that was the case, so I instead decided to try my hardest to forget about it and move on.

(f/n) was a big help, and the studying kept me distracted but I couldn't stop myself from feeling angry whenever I saw him walking around Hogwarts. Whenever we passed each other in the corridors I found myself clenching my fists, but it still hurt. Somehow my feelings for him lingered, and seeing him act so casually without me being in his life hurt a great deal more than I cared to admit.

I knew (f/n) was right when she said that the reason he had stopped talking to me was because of the colour of my robes and tie. (f/n) and I overheard them talking in the courtyard about how all Slytherins were supposedly traitors to the wizarding name, and cold-blooded killers. My name came up in their conversation, and a part of me thought that for the sake of our old friendship, Lupin might've defended me somehow but he didn't mutter a word. Instead, (f/n) and I stormed passed them, until we heard a few sniggers. We stopped and turned to face them and I saw Lupin standing up from the stone bench, looking directly at me. "Ah and here they are, future Death Eaters!" Black laughed and I clenched my fists.

"You two don't need to study for your O.W.Ls, you've already been scouted by You-Know-Who, haven't you?" Potter joined in, gesturing the books we were carrying.

"Bloodthirsty killers, that's all Slytherin's ever are!" Black laughed.

"Pads-," Lupin started to say but anger swallowed me whole.

"I think murderous, 'blood-thirsty' killers are likely to run through a blood-line rather than houses, wouldn't you say (f/n)?" I mocked and Black's expression turned foul.

"Definitely, and who's a family that's full of Death Eaters and murderers?" She questioned sarcastically and I laughed.

"The Black family-,"

"You bitch!" Black drew his wand quickly but to my surprise Lupin stepped up.

"Don't Padfoot!" He shouted, snatching his wand from him. "It's not worth it!"

Both (f/n) and I laughed as we skipped away, and immense satisfaction ran through me as I remembered their faces. I did remember Lupin standing and stopping Black from attacking me, but I doubted that it was anything to do with him not wanting to see me get hurt - he was probably just stopping his friend from getting into trouble.
