Warning! This is part one of two!

House: Slytherin

- Flashback -

"Remus! You can't go yet!" I cried to my best friend, holding onto his arm. He had received a visit from the infamous Professor Dumbledore, head of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, offering Remus a place there. When Remus showed me the letter Dumbledore had given to him there was a bright smile on his face, him admitting that he didn't think he'd be accepted due to his lycanthropy. I was however two years younger than him which of course meant that Remus would be going to Hogwarts before me.

"(y/n) you know I have to go," he smiled, pulling me in for a hug which I happily reciprocated.

"But I'll miss you! Can't I go with you?" I begged.

"You'll be able to go in two years! But I'll miss you too," he mumbled and I smiled. I had grown a silly little crush on Remus Lupin, despite only being nine.

"I'll miss you too... promise you'll write to me!" I said quickly and he chuckled, nodding.

"Absolutely, I promise."

- Flashback Over -

I clutched onto the letters Remus and I had sent each other all throughout his first two years at Hogwarts. Now I was waiting at Kings Cross in London with my parents, my trunk and owl on a trolley. We were waiting for the Lupins to arrive, Remus having promised to sit with me during my first ride on the Hogwarts Express. "Remus!" I called out to him when I saw him. He waved back, him and his parents approaching me. Together we all went through the wall between platform nine and ten, which revealed platform nine and three quarters where a ruby red train sat.

"Welcome to the Hogwarts Express," Remus said and I smiled brightly.

"I can't wait, this is going to be amazing," I said brightly, glad I could finally attend boarding school with the boy I loved.

"Have you got everything?" My parents asked protectively.

"Yeah mum! I'll miss you both," I hugged my parents, waving to them as I followed Remus onto the train. We walked through the thin corridor, Remus holding my hand as he led the way. He looked through every window of each compartment, no doubt looking for his friends. Finally he stopped outside of one and I peeked in, seeing three boys sat in an already messy looking compartment.

"Moony!" One of them, a boy with shoulder-length black hair exclaimed as he opened the door.

"Hey Sirius," Remus smiled, stepping into the compartment and pulling me in behind him. "Guys, I want you to meet (y/n), my friend from home," he said, stepping aside to let me properly see everyone. Sat on the left there was a boy with black messy hair and glasses whilst on the right there was a fairly round boy with mousy hair.

"Hello," I mumbled politely, waving.

"Hey, you're the girl Remus always talks about!" The one Remus called Sirius said and my eyes widened. "The name's Sirius Black," he said, holding out his hand for me to shake which I of course did.

"And I'm James, James Potter," the guy with glasses said.

"A-and I'm Peter!" The round boy chipped in eagerly.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you all," I said with a smile.

"C'mon then (y/n), take a seat, the train will be setting off in a minute," Sirius gestured the seat opposite him, next to Peter. Remus sat close to me on my other side, smiling at me reassuringly. I spotted my parents through the window and waved to them just as the train started to move bidding them a final farewell.
