37: Remus Lupin - The Alpha (Lemon)

 Remus Lupin and I had been together for almost a year, and I knew about his 'little furry problem' as he and the Marauders called it. At first he was incredibly self conscious about it but I assured him I didn't care, and that I still loved him. When he finally accepted the fact I didn't care he began coming to me on the days after the full moons, claiming that he would always be so desperate for my hugs.

The guys would let me into their dorms and would leave he and I alone so he could sleep. He was so caring and clingy which I just found adorable, but I didn't expect him to be as protective as he was. He'd get jealous over the littlest of things like the times Sirius made me laugh, the times I cheered for James during quidditch matches and the times I worked with Peter in potions simply because we sat at the same table.

Recently however he had been acting a little strange. A guy from Slytherin called Casey Edison had begun flirting with me, making me feel incredibly awkward. He'd even come over to the Gryffindor table and attempt to flirt with me making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. The first time he did it I expected Remus to stand up for me straight away, taking ahold of my hand protectively and telling the guy to get lost but nothing of the sort happened.

instead it was the other three that stepped forward and told him to get lost whilst Remus kept poking at his breakfast with his fork. I would've assumed it would be because of the full moon the previous night but when Edison persisted and Remus wasn't doing anything I began to think something was wrong. A few times I noticed he clenched his fists when the guy approached me but that was the most - until today.

We were walking hand and hand through the castle, the school day having just ended and us deciding to spend a lazy evening in front of the fireplace cuddling however as we reached the bottom of the moving staircases my name was called out. "Hey (y/n)!" Casey called out and I sighed deeply. Remus' clutch on my hand got a little tighter and I looked up at him to see his messy hair covering his eyes.

We turned to see him approaching, a few of his friends behind him snickering. "What do you want Edison?" I asked with a huff and he smirked.

"To take you out of a date. Come on, you're wasted on a pathetic loser like Lupin," he laughed and anger sparked inside of me.

"How dare you! My boyfriend is so much better than you'll ever be," I scowled, clutching g Remus' hand tighter.

"Yeah right, I'm obviously so much better than him," he said smugly. "He's pathetic, poor and ugly. Plus I can take you to an empty corridor and show you a much better time-,"

"That's it," Remus suddenly said, snatching his hand away from mine. His eyes were filled with anger and he suddenly grabbed Edison by the collar, raised a clenched fist in the air and landed in harshly in the centre of his face. My mouth dropped open as Remus pushed him to the ground harshly, causing him to roll backwards.

"You bastard! You broke my nose!" He shouted, blood pouring from his nose before he clutched it in an effort to stop the bleeding.

"You think I give a damn?!" Remus shouted, his fists still clenched. "Now fuck off and stop flirting pathetically with other peoples girlfriend!"

"Remus," I took ahold of his hand in an effort to calm him down. I never expected to see Remus get physically violent with someone, even if they had attempted to trigger it.
