How It Started

Chapter 48 - Harry Potter.

Fred took a sip before informing us he would be choosing truth, Selina seemed to think this over in her head for a short moment. She looked like she had an idea but then shook her head.

" Spit it out. " Ron said, she looked over at him with an annoyed glance and I couldn't help but chuckle lightly. She went on thinking for a short moment, which gave me a chance to think as well.

We had been given the perfect opportunity to find out the truth. We hadn't used it yet however, I'm sure Selina was waiting.

" Okay - Fred, " She began, she brushed her chin, liked they did in movies when people were thinking. We all laughed at this, she opened her eyes.

" Okay! " She said after a moments hesitance.
" Share an embarrassing thing about yourself or someone else in the room. " She said, Fred's eyes went straight over to Ron.

" Ron's scared of spiders. " He said with a shrug, I smiled briefly at the memory of our meeting with aragog, second year.

" Something loads of people wouldn't know. " She said, we all were very much aware of the fact Ron was scared of spiders. It wasn't exactly.. hard to guess.

" I've used a love potion on someone before. " He admitted, again with his joking smile. I sat up immediately. Who would he of had to use it on?

" Who? " Selina asked, her voice suddenly vaguely interested in the question. He laughed lightly, opening his mouth and then shutting it.

He shook his head with a sly grin.

" That wasn't part of the question now, was it? " He responded with, Selina's face fell into a frown and I laughed briefly at this. Fred looked over at Hermione and clicked his fingers at her, she grinned.

" Truth. " She answered before he had asked, she took a small swig, not needing much more as she had, had some previously and fiddled with the side of her mug.

" Ever liked someone's sibling? " He asked, I knew this question was directed solely at Ron, but surprisingly her eyes flitted over to Vesper and then Ron.

Odd.

" Yes. " She answered, he raised his eyebrows, obviously having not paid attention to her eye-line.

" Who? " He asked, she slyly grinned.

" That wasn't part of the question now, was it? " She fired back and I couldn't help but laugh loudly, Hermione was acting very joking tonight.

" Touché. " Fred said with a shrug, Hermione observed the small circle and her eyes landed on Ron. He sat up straighter at her gaze and Vess and I shared a knowing glance.

" Okay Ron. You know the question, i'm sure. " She said, he nodded, thinking for a moment.
" Double-truth. " He answered, she nodded, looking over at Vess who had been the last person to do the same thing. She nodded and took a drink as Ron did, of the truth-telling potion.

" Alright. " Hermione said, waving her hands out for dramatic and extra effect. She racked her brain again for questions that would work for the both of them.

" First kiss? " She asked, that would be a good question. However as far as Vess had told me, I was her first kiss, so this wouldn't be to eventful.

" Lavender. " Ron answered, Hermione's jaw was rigid for a moment but she smiled afterwards, nodding. It was common knowledge, to everyone, apart from Ron that Hermione was never the fondest of Lavender.

" Vess. " Hermione said, she made a slightly grim face and I was confused for a moment.

" Well I was a kid- " She began, trying to divert away from the question at hand.

" Come on Vess. " Selina said, with a small laugh as she hit her friends shoulder gently.

" Fine then, Mattheo. " She said, looking over at me. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, Mattheo?

" I was 7. " She said after noticing my expression, I lightened up slightly, but only so much. Her first kiss was the son of the person who killed my parents?

She was much more wise now, I reminded myself.

" Okay anyways.. " She said, looking over at Ron. He was staring once again and Fred clicked his fingers in Ron's face, he snapped his eyes over to his brother, clearly annoyed before continuing on.
" Alright - Selina. " He said, gesturing towards her. She nodded, sipping at the leftover potion in her mug, she leaned back into the sofa and it made a small creaking noise.

" Uh. Truth. " She said, placing the mug on the sofa arm, once again. He, much alike the others, pondered over what to ask.

" Let's see. " He thought aloud, talking only to himself.

" First crush at Hogwarts? " He asked, Fred sat up, obviously eager to hear the answer himself. I assumed it would be him, but judging by Vess's previous answers, I wasn't too sure.

" Mm. " She mumbled, picking at the paint on the mug.
" Yeah, probably Freddie or Theo. " She said, with a small shrug. Fred nodded, obviously expecting this answer, I hadn't realised how close she was with him, but too be fair she had gone to the Yule Ball with Theo.

" Alright! " She said with a smile, she looked my way immediately and I took a small sip, feeling the serum wash down my throat slowly.

" Double-Truth. " I answered, hoping that when I asked Vess next, she'd choose truth to stick to the pattern.

" Okay, I'll ask Hermione as well then. " She said, Hermione seemed to of been gazing at something in the room, but she snapped back to reality and nodded, excited to hear the question.

" Let's just go for basic shall we? " She said, placing her hands on her knees.
" Biggest regret? " She asked, I could feel the answer building up in my throat.

" Taking my parents memories of me away. " Hermione answered, I spun my head around to face her. I smiled sympathetically but she swatted away all of our " sorry's. " and such like.

" It had to be done, they need to be safe. " She said simply, turning to face me.

" Not doing what I could to stop Snape. " I answered, along with the memories or rather present experiences of Voldemort I experienced in many of my dreams, I was also tormented by that day and by the fact I stood still.

" Alright, Vess. " I turned to face her, she looked directly at me and had her jaw set. I think she had been guessing I had something to ask her, she took a sip from the mug.

" Truth. " She answered with a small shrug.
