Salazar Slytherin's locket was tearing us apart, it had been months since we first arrived at the camp, and our journey had still proved to be unsuccessful in the whole scheme of things. Everyday was the same, our main objective trying to destroy the one thing we had possession of.

It was early in the morning as we all gathered around the crisp forest air, the ground was slightly damp creating a slippery footing. I carefully walked along the bark as I made my way to the rest of the group. Each one of them stood staring at the locket, which itself was faced upwards towards the sky mocking us.

Vesper was the first to pull out her wand, she pointed it directly at the locket and harshly yelled;
"Reducto" She maintained her gaze towards the locket as a blinding white light travelled towards it. The locket spurted and twisted creating it to explode, a thick black haze game across it. For a moment as I saw the smoke begin to disappear I thought it was destroyed, our hopes were all diminished when the locket remained, in the same state it had once been it.

We had each been taking it in turns wearing the locket, it was Harry's idea at first, being able to keep the locket close to us at all times, keeping it safe. What he didn't take into account was amount of dark magic the locket possessed, it would speak to you, the wearer of it as you completed daily tasks. It would mock you and feed you false information, creating you to become stir crazy.

Hermione was next to try and break the lock, she pulled out her wand, and yelled:
"Incendio" she had tried this spell numerous times already, all of which had proven to be unsuccessful.

The locket, just as it had done before ignited showing a radiating fire, the fire itself twisted and turned until it went out revealing the locket in the peaceful previous state. I knew it wasn't just me, I could hear the locket calling out our names, spitting out lies, trying to get in our heads. The wind brought me back into reality as I realised I had been staring indefinitely at the locket, I twisted my jumper around my arms hugging my body, trying to shield me from the cold.

I glanced at Harry, you could practically see the angry in his eyes, I took a step back prepared for what was about to happen. Just as I knew and had predicted, Harry started spitting out spells left right and centre. He inched closer to the locket with every spell, every single one of them sending the locket into the air and failing to destroy the object. Harry concluded with the spell
"Stupefy" before falling into a heap on the floor. He looked exhausted just as each one of us felt. The blue bags under his eyes reflected the amount of sleepless nights we had been experiencing.

I knew Ron had, had enough, his arm still recovering as he had it in a sling. He glanced amused at the spells and Harry's fallen heap on the floor.

"Seems strange mate" we all turned facing his way, he glanced for each of us and continued talking "I mean dumbeldoor sending you on this quest with us, without telling us how to destroy it" Ron concluded. He was right of course, just no body up until now had cared to admit it, or even say it outloud.

"Dumbledoor knew what he was doing we're just missing something" Harry muttered standing, the leaves crunching as he did so. He placed the locket around his neck, the was the fourth time he had worn it this week.

"Harry I think you should let someone else wear the locket" Hermione started to say, she watched her words very carefully as Harry glared at her. The entire group was on edge, anyone could see that from looking at us. We were all awkwardly spaced around the locket just looking from one another. The loudest sound was the locket amongst the quiet group of us.

"Jeez Hermione care to take even more control on the group than you already have" Harry sneered back. That was uncalled for of course, and I briefly saw the hurt look on her face before she shut her emotions down.

"I'm only trying to look out for you no need to get all angry" She said back, surprisingly her voice remained a constant level.

"Yeah well don't"

"Harry please" Vess said reaching out for his arm, he turned pulling himself away from the group

"Bloody hell just look at yourself Harry" Ron said, the angry in his voice made me uncomfortable

"I think we all need to just calm down" Fred said, I jumped not realising how close he was standing next to me, or how loud his voice would echo through the forest.

"Shut up Fred" Vesper said still looking at Harry, something about the way she said that made me angry, I assumed it would be because of the locket, but I wouldn't care to admit that.

"Back off Vess" i said in retaliation, the first words I had spoken all morning, my voice was slightly rough and still sounded like I was asleep. I moved closer to Fred and held his hand.

The next second our group was running off into another argument, insults were flying everywhere and the anger was pouring out of everyone's words. I couldn't even hear what anyone was directly saying, it was loud and I knew that this whole argument was pointless and didn't mean anything, still I felt compelled to join in. As I concentrated I could hear several peoples voices.

"what the fuck is your problem Harry, you have a girlfriend stick to her and not hermione" Ron was yelling, although I doubt anyone but me had heard that. I had, had enough, the fight itself had gone on for long enough.

"SHUT UP ALL OF YOU, JUST LISTEN TO YOURSELVES" I yelled, everyone went silent and my words were the only things heard, everyone was looking directly at me and it became apparent that I was starting to feel ill, the fight had made me queasy and light headed, I knew I was going to vomit.

"Excuse me" I said covering my mouth and starting to walk away.

"Lina wait" hermione called out.

I didn't make it fair until I felt my knees bucket and sure enough I puked.
