I heard another loud yell and I couldn't help but stifle my unease, loud footsteps pounded behind me and I spun around. Ron's face was contorted downwards into a large frown, his eyes crinkled as tears threatened to escape.
" Vess. " He managed, I nodded, raising. Harry got up as well, despite my inaudible protests for him to stay in bed. Ron began running and I followed along, suddenly terrified to see what would be found.
Debris coated the floor in one of the areas of Hogwarts, I looked up and noticed the roof had collapsed. It couldn't of fallen on someone, I reassured myself.
I heard the same cry once more and finally looked down at the floor, regretting it instantly.
Selina and Fred's hands were locked together.
But that was it.
Selina's face was soaked in tears, however Freds face was pointed towards the ground so I couldn't see the expression he was bearing. I knelt down beside the two of them, holding my hand closely on both of there's.
I stared at them like that for a couple of moments, before registering the other person who would've been hurt by this event.
" Hope. " I said, my voice monotone. I ran over to Selinas side, and my face faltered once again as the last ounce of hope died inside of me, ironic wasn't it?
My face fell into my hands and I couldn't prevent the sobbing that followed, I had stuck with these two for the best part of 3 years and their constant jokes and reassurances had been part of the reason I had gotten through.
I knew that I would never have the privilege of hearing their voices and laughs again and that threatened to rack my body with another heavy sob.
They promised they would be fine.
