I sat down practically counting down the minutes until my class, muggle studies ended. I didn't really understand why "Muggle Studies" was even on the curriculum, nor did I understand why we had to take an end of year exam on it. I glanced at my practically empty note page in front of me, I knew I was supposed to be taking notes but leaning about muggle household items seemed so pointless. Don't get me wrong I had nothing against muggles, unlike some of my fellow classmates, although I had heard enough about muggles from my own fathers stories about them. I cracked my knuckles which caused an awfully loud sound, which wasn't my intention, I got a glare from the teacher before he went back to his usual position with his back towards us, writing on the board.
"Psst George did you get any notes?" I asked whispering so only George, who was sitting next to me could hear, he rolled his eyes before showing me his book. Sure enough he had a lot more notes written then me, I glanced at the clock once before copying everything down. I finished just in time for the bell to ring and the class to be dismissed.I stood up stretching my arms as I did so, it had seemed like we had been in that class for years, I was glad to say at the least it was over. I picked up my now filled note book as well as my other class materials before following George and Lee out of the class room. I heard Lee exclaim a sigh
"Thank god that class is over, was it just me or did it drag on a little too long!" He said still walking down the corridor
"I agree it went over for too long that's for sure" I responded to him, smiling. The hallways were filling up fast as more and more students came out to move toward their next class, it appeared I had what was classified as a study period so I, and George were about to head to the library. Lee on the other hand was trying to get on Snapes good side this year, being the quidditch commentator when Slytherin had lost against Gryfindoor didnt put him in a great position, so he was helping organise the potions store room with a couple of other students.
"Well I best be off then guys see you in divination" Lee said waving and turning the corner."Well looks like it's just you and me" I started to say to George but before I couldn't finish my sentence I was being knocked to the ground, I tried to grab George's arm but instead he was laughing, what great help he was.
"Shoot, I'm so sorry" a voice said, I glanced up realising it was Selina Black she was scrambling to pick up her and my fallen books.
I couldn't help but laugh at this, she hadn't even looked up once to see who she crashed into, I tended to laugh in most situations, this was one of them. My laughter caused her to look up, making eye contact with me. I noticed her charms book next to my left foot, I picked it up before handing it to her, she smiled at this.
"Thanks" Selina said before standing up, I thought I should do the same thing so I stood up at the same time.
"I'm sorry again" she began to say but I cut her off laughing
"Yeah don't worry about it" I said brushing it off, I mean it wasn't that big of a deal, I smiled at her before walking away."You are no help I could of fallen and died and all you would of done is laugh" I said looking at George, as he was still laughing at the situation.
"What can I say it was funny, she was so apologetic which does normally suit the Slytherin type" he said opening the library door. I thought about this sentence for several moments, as I took a seat opposite George at a vacant Study table.
"Give her a year, the Slytherins will turn her I bet you" I said laughing, I hoped this wouldn't be the case, it was always the nice ones who went to the dark side. The Slytherins had a habit of turning someone's personality inside out, until whats left of them was a pure blood brained washed creep, who took joy in bullying first years. George nodded at this most likely thinking the same thing I was, we had a habit of this, some might even say it was twin powers.I opened my charms book knowing very well that I would most likely only read one page before getting board and walking around the library. Sure enough I had read one and a half pages before I finally stood up.
"I'm just going to look for another charms book I'll be back" I said to George, all he did was turn up his nose and roll his eyes, he knew me too well for his own good.I wondered around the library doing a few laps before finding myself in the charms section, I scanned the bookshelf looking for anything that would pass the time nicely, any charms book would be the one currently sitting on my table. I placed my hand onto a dusty looking book, on the shelf nearest to me before I took it down and blew away the dust. I casually walked back to the table, I would say I had been gone for a solid fifteen minutes.
"Nice of you to join me again" George said, still not glancing up from his potions work.
"Well you know I had to come back eventually didn't I?" I sighed before eventually opening the book. I had always suffered with procrastination, although somehow I still managed to keep up with adequate grades, that I was at least happy with, I just wondered what the future of Hogwarts would install for me.
