Absolutely fucking crowded.

People were spewing out from the inside of Ev's house and you could see how overpopulated it was despite how we weren't even inside yet.

The party had only started a little while ago and everyone knew it'd only get crazier as the night went on. People were already drunk on the porch, inebriated and euphoric. These parties were always a little devilish. Something so free, so wild about people that it felt sinful.

"Don't go too far from me." Ev leaned down to speak in my ear as we walked up the steps of his porch.

"I'm not your puppy-"

"I'm serious, Aria. It can't be like the last time." He grasped my arm, voice stern. I met his eyes and the seriousness in them before nodding.

If it wasn't for people clearing a way for Everest as he walked past, I'd be fucking helpless. Bodies and endless bodies brimmed every corner of the house, music pounding against my eardrums and everybody was just fucking dancing.

I sucked on the cherry lollipop, smirking a little. Oh, its gonna be a fun night.

Everest didn't let go of my arm, continuously looking back to me to make sure I was okay. I always knew Ev was protective and that he'd be a little extra tonight because of the Micheal incident last time I went to a party.

I appreciated it as much as I wouldn't admit that.

Everything was a blur of colours vibrant and galore from all the costumes. I'm pretty sure I saw a massive teddy bear somewhere in there. I couldn't hear myself think even if I wanted to and I liked exactly that.

Everest kept leading us further into the party and into another crowded room.

I twirled the lollipop on my tongue just as my eyes met his.

Luca.

"What gives you the fucking impression I want to talk to you?" I snapped to this idiot sandy blonde guy again. My temper's going off the fucking rails. Ever since I got here. All day, even.

"I- I just- you should- can you teach me how to box like poom poom-" He slurred, punching his fists out and stumbling.

"Dude- what are you doing?" A guy, seemingly one of his friends pulled him away from me, glancing up to me with a nervous smile before looking away. My expression didn't change.

The guy was drunk out of his mind though so it wouldn't have been exactly right of me to punch him off me.

I'd just been fucking snappy all day today. I hadn't seen Ria last night because when I drove up to her house, she didn't come out. I rang her and she picked up, a lazy but fucking adorable little whimper leaving her.

"Hi." She mumbled, her voice muffled and very clearly tired.

"Were you sleeping?" I gently rest my forehead against the steering wheel, holding back my smile just from the sound of her voice.

"Me? Sleeping? Nev-" She cut herself off with a big yawn, "Yes." She whispered tiredly, the rustling of her duvet running through the phone.

"Good girl. That's okay. I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?" I whispered back, turning my head against the steering wheel to look up at her window.

"You're not driving up or anything are you? Because I'll wake myself up-"

"No- no, I'm at home. Was just about to leave but you go back to sleep." I assured, running my hand through my hair.

"Don't miss me too much, fuckface." She murmured, sounding as if she was dozing off. I waited for a moment, until her gentle even breaths sounded out and I knew she was asleep.
