Bree's POV
"What are you two laughing about?"
I walk up to Ryder and Blake in the hallway as they giggled with each other like little children.
The both of them share a knowing look, before they burst out laughing again. "We were in gym class and Blake accidentally tripped up some poor defenceless guy whilst we were doing laps." Ryder tells me as he sobers up his laughter.
"Ouch! Blake, who'd you trip up?" I ask cringing.
He grins. "Mr Holmes."
"You tripped up your gym teacher?!"
Ryder starts laughing again whilst Blake holds his hands up in defence, a smug look on his face. "Hey, it was a total accident, promise."
I shake my head, unimpressed. "You two are ridiculous."
"Oh hey, did I mention to you guys my little sister Olivia got a tramp stamp?" Blake tells us, changing the subject. "Because she did and my parents were pissed when they found out."
I smile. "No way, what'd she get?"
He shrugs. "Some butterfly thing I'm not sure. All I know is that she's grounded for the rest of her life."
"Do you have any tattoos?" I ask Blake.
He shrugs, shaking his head slightly. "Nah, I wouldn't know where or what to even get."
"I'd get one." Ryder says grinning. "Right here across my shoulder that says Bryder4Life in a love heart." He tells us, gesturing to exactly where he'd get it.
I fold my arms, an amused expression of my face. "Oh, is that so?"
He nods. "Yup, and when you become a famous designer, I get to say that I knew you before the fame got to your head."
I nudge his arm playfully. "Yeah, right." I say between laughs just as the bell rings.
"Come on, let's get to class." Tanner says, suddenly appearing beside me from out of nowhere and grabbing onto my hand.
I quickly wave to Ryder and Blake over my shoulder as I'm dragged towards our classroom by Tanner. We finally reach our class and we're about to enter when an all too familiar voice presents itself from behind us.
"Hey, Tanner I love what you've done with you hair. How'd you get it to come out of your nostrils like that?" Florence chides, brushing past both Tanner and I and strutting into the classroom.
"Puta." Tanner and I say simultaneously, rolling our eyes at her.
We finally enter the class, students filing in behind us. I quickly notice Nina and Mason sat together at the back of the class.
"Hey guys." Nina smiles at the both of us as we take the desk in front of them.
I notice Mason sketching in his notepad. When I stare at the picture more attentatively I realise who he's drawing. "Hey is that you Nina?"
Nina nods fondly. "Yeah, Mace is an awesome artist isn't he?"
"That's pretty cool, Mason." I admit as Mason shrugs the compliment off.
"It's really nothing, but thanks."
"Hey guys." Carson waves as he enters the classroom, slinging his backpack off his shoulder and taking a seat at an empty desk as I send him a head nod, nonverbally greeting him.
It's not long after until out teacher is walking in, gaining our attention.
"Alright class, so today..."

It was the end of class and we're all about to leave the classroom when I see Carson still in there.
"Hey Bree, you coming?" Tanner asks from the doorway.
I turn back to Carson, the only one still left in the classroom as he stuffed his notepad into his bag, a dejected look on his face. "I'll catch up with you guys in a sec." I tell them, watching as they all walk away, leaving Carson and I behind alone.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask, walking towards him.
He looks up from his backpack at the sound of my voice and shrugs, taking a seat on top of the desk and I sit beside him. "Oh just stuff with my parents, it's no big deal. I'll be fine, I just don't want Zoey to grow up and them to still be arguing."
"You're a good big brother." I tell him with a smile.
I've never really had family problems so to see through Carson eyes what it's like to have your parents go through a messy divorce really makes me thankful for the family that I have. I know it's been tough on him but it's only his sisters protection that he cares about. Contradictory to my prior beliefs, Carson can actually be a really sweet guy.
He returns my smile. "Thanks, Bree."
"No problem." I reply, standing up as he does the same.
"Hey, Bree." He calls out to me, so I turn to face him, our eyes making contact.
"Yeah...?" I ask him skeptically but he just stares at me, a silence falling over us as he looks into my brown orbs and me into his blue ones.
"Your eyes are beautiful. They drive me crazy." He whispers, his words probably unable to be heard if the room wasn't as silent as it was.
"Carson..." I trail off, not knowing what to say, his words catching me off guard.
"If you want me to stop say something. Anything."
My eyes quickly register his lips centimetres away from mine, his eyes searching my own ones for any indication of what I was feeling but I didn't move. I couldn't move; the only noise around us the faint sound of our breathing. His lips press against mine and all I did was stand there in shock. I couldn't believe Carson was kissing me. Carson had said he would get what he wanted and what he wanted was me. My body was frozen yet my mind was racing with a thousand thoughts a second. Thoughts of Ryder, thoughts of how my lips were locked with someone that was NOT Ryder. Thoughts of how I should push him off me and tell him to never do that again.
But I don't. I let Carson kiss me.
