Bree's POV

Lunch had quickly rolled around and I had no idea where Ryder was. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen Ryder since we went our separate ways this morning. Chanel and Sarah had dragged me to an outside table, which they had claimed to be the best place to each lunch. Apparently it had just the right amount of sunlight hitting it and was far away enough from large crowds but close enough to see and hear any drama that could go down.

"Oh hey Chanel." Sarah calls, gaining the attention of both Chanel and I. "Did I tell you how my idiot of a cousin tried to flirt with Bree today?"

I frown at the mention of Carson. If I never had to see that boy again it would still be too soon. It amazed me how someone as cool as Sarah could be related to someone as douche-y as Carson. "He's an ass." I conclude.

"True." Chanel states, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She leans forward and opens her mouth to speak before shutting it and leaning back. A moment passes before she finally talks. "He's hot though, you've gotta admit..."

"Who's hot?" All three of us look up to see Tanner sliding into a seat around our table.

"Carson." Chanel explained with a shrug, giggling when Sarah and I send her glares.

"Ew, that fuckboy?" Tanner snorts, reaching for her bottle of water and taking a sip. "Yeah pass."

"Who's a fuckboy?" Nina asks joining us, sliding her tray of food on the table opposite me. "Sorry I'm late. Mr Roderick wouldn't let us out of class, the douchebag."

"Carson."

Her face contours into a grimace, almost as if she had eaten something sour. "Oh yeah definite fuckboy." She plops a french frie into her mouth, a shameless smirk on her face. "Super hot though."

"Nina, don't you have a boyfriend?" Tanner laughs, stealing a bunch of her fries.

She shrugs. "I also have eyes."

"Look, all I'm saying is that God took his time when he was making Carson Daniels." Chanel explains, holding her hands up in defence.

Sarah shudders, clearly creeped out about the way her friends were talking about her relative. "Chanel Spencer." She snaps. "That is my cousin."

Chanel nudges Sarah, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. "Oh I know, you lucky girl."

Everyone at the table bursts out laughing, I try my hardest to keep my monotone expression but it's not long before I'm laughing too with my new found friends. Nina reaches out and throws french fries at Chanel and it's not long before fries are being thrown around all over the table. I sober up my giggles, when I notice the devil himself. "And he shall appear..." I mumble quietly.

I watch as Carson walks over to our table. I've got to admit, the way he carries himself exudes confidence and self assurance. No matter how much he annoys me, he does have some admirable qualities. It's not long before he notices me and I watch his eyes gleam in recognition, a smile falling onto his face.

"Look at you infiltrating my table new girl." He cooed, pushing Sarah out the way when he reaches our table and placing his tray next to mine, sliding in beside me.

I move away from him slightly and closer to Chanel. "If you don't stop talking to me I'll take this fork and stick it up your ass." I threaten grabbing the plastic fork from my tray.

"That isn't the first time you've thought about my ass today is it?" He jokes.

"Carson..." Sarah warns, taking a seat next to Nina.
