Everything was overwhelming and we couldn't just show the feelings we were suppressing in an Ice Cream Parlor, thus, we've decided—Ash and I, to go somewhere...

I asked him to brought our son to our place, where everything between us started.

Niell wasn't saying anything but I always caught him staring at Ash then he'd looked outside the window as if he was thinking about something so deep. I didn't know what was running on his mind but he seemed fine and relaxed.

Niell was sitting on the hood of Ash's car, he was busy with his ice cream while we were looking at him. He was glancing at us then he'd give us—Ash specifically, a simple and an assuring smile.

"Is he okay?" Ash asked as he looked at me.

Tumango ako. "I'm sure he is.

I tapped his arm. "Just answer his questions... honestly." I didn't know where did I get the audacity to said that to him when it was really me who couldn't do it in the first place. "'Tsaka nandito naman ako. I'll help you."

That's the least thing I could do.

They needed a father and son conversation.

"Do you think he's mad at me?" tanong ulit ni Ash.

"Mommy!" I nodded at him after I glanced at Niell. "Go on, Ash. Help him."

Ash's eyes twinkled as he nodded repeatedly at me before he walked towards Niell.

He stared at his son, probably asking for a permission. I didn't hear what Ash said to him but Niell giggled while looking at his father wiping away the dirt on his shirt and short.

I crossed my arms over my chest as I leaned against the tree behind me. A smiled slowly formed on my lips as I continued to watch them. Happiness really hits different when it's because of the people you love—people you value the most, and people who took a very special place in your heart.

Ash asked something to him again but he just shook his head and smiled shyly, one thing that I've also took away from them—comfortability.

Ash tousled his son's hair.

He swung his feet as he looked up to the sky. I took lots of photos of him before I sauntered towards him and sat next to him. Ash did the same. Niell was in the middle of us as we're looking up to the sky.

My right hand was pressed on the hood of his car, behind Niell to support my weight. Minutes passed by and the only sound we could hear were the chirps of the bird... Later on, I felt Ash held my right hand.
