We stared at the creepy butler. He never blinked nor smile at anyone. "Sarah Evers?" He called.
She nodded, smiling a little. "Yes I'm Sarah." She said. "My name is Ramsley." He introduced himself. Jessie shrugged. "At least he's polite." She mumbled. Nina scoffed. "Don't polite people smile?" She whispered. Apparently some don't. Mr. Evers looked at him then back at us awkwardly. He smiled, putting his hand out. "Hello Ramsley. I'm Jim Evers of Evers & Evers Real Estate. At your service." He said. Ramsley hadn't shook his hand which is kinda rude though. "We were not expecting others." He said, referring to us. He sure had a strong accent. "We were on our way out of town. This is our close friend's children." She introduced. We waved and smiled politely. Screech quivered at the sight of him. Mr. Evers offered Ramsley his business card for appreciation. He seemed uninterested, taking the card. "Very well. We shall have place other settings." He said. Zack hummed in response. "What are the settings for?" He asked. We followed behind as he walked in the hallway.
"Master Gracey wishes to discuss his affairs over dinner." Ramsley told him. Slater was paying attention to all the suits of armor hanged up. "Cool!" He whispered. Master Gracey? Hm. It sounds a little familiar. Jessie smiled sheepishly. "Sir, we can't stay for dinner. I'm afraid we have plans." She said. "That's right." Mrs. Evers agreed. Mr. Evers scoffed. "We mustn't be rude darling." He spoke in the same accent. "What about our family adventure?" Megan asked. "Yeah dad." Michael added. Nina coughed and sneezed. Lisa sighed. "Guys, we need a warm place! Kelly and Nina are still coughing." She told them. Mr. Evers nodded in understanding. "We'll just have some soup and then we'll be done with it. Ok?" He assured. This mansion still screams the word 'creepy' just like the butler. Zack rubbed his arms and shook off a little wetness from his jacket. "She's right about the cold. I'm cold." He said. I rolled my eyes, taking the jacket off him. "Maybe because you're wearing a cold wet jacket." I said in a obvious tone. He chuckled and wrapped his arm around my waist. "Now I feel warm." He mumbled in my ear. My cheeks burned red. Ramsley glanced back, staring at Nina for a minute. We shared confusion. He turned forward. Strange. Why was he looking at her? Usually people stare but not as if he knows her.

Ramsley led us into the dining room. Our jaws dropped. There was several chairs, lit candles and a giant fireplace with lightning flashed outside the windows. It is truly old-fashioned but beautiful. "Wow!" Kelly beamed. "Gorgeous!" Lisa said. Mr. Evers smiled. "This is nice! Very nice. Hey girls, how would you like to eat like this at home?" He joked, referring to me and Megan. She didn't seemed to like it though. Nina saw the fireplace and breathed a breath of relief. "Yes! Finally!" She whispered/yelled. "The Master will be here with you shortly." Ramsley informed us. Lightning illuminated him for a second. Butterflies jumped in my stomach. I felt Zack's hand intertwined with mine. Mr. Evers smiled and rubbed his hands. "Carry on." He said nicely. He bowed to them and left. Zack looked as if he was ready to defend me. "Are you ok?" I asked. He sighed. "Sorry. It's just something really off about that man. Especially about his master named Gracey. It sounds familiar." He said. The gang observed the dining room with Mr. and Mrs. Evers. Kelly and Nina stood in front of the fireplace, receiving much bodily warmth. I still wondered why Ramsley stared at her before we came in. Including Mrs. Evers. "Guys! Come see the fireplace!" Slater said. We walked up to the fireplace where the girls were getting warmed up. "Have you ever seen a fireplace this amazing?" Mrs. Evers said impressively. Nina chuckled. "I know. This is big enough to warm a giant family." She agreed. Lisa scoffed. "Let's be lucky we didn't get frostbite." She joked. Slater giggled. "We could have a heck of a weenie-roast in that thing huh?" Mr. Evers added. Kelly smiled. "Seriously? Look at this detail! I've never seen anything like this." She said. Zack rolled his eyes. I could tell he was getting annoyed by everyone awning over the fireplace. "Haven't you?" A voice asked. Lightning flashed with rumbling thunder on a man near the window. Where did he come from? "My grandfather spared no expense to built this mansion." He explained.
We shared confusion. "Who is that guy?" Slater whispered in Zack's ear. He shrugged. "I never seen him before." He muttered. Mr. Evers smiled, putting his hand out. "Well your grandfather had really good taste in tchotchkes. I'm Jim Evers of Evers & Evers Real Estate, charmed to make your acquaintance sir." He introduced. The man bowed politely. "Edward. Edward Gracey." He introduced himself. Again. That name is too familiar. Jessie stared at him suspiciously. "Gracey?" She whispered. Awkward silence was present as Mr. Evers didn't get a handshake from him. "Uh, this is my wife Sarah. And our godchildren Mia and Nina." He continued. We smiled sweetly. "Hi!" We said in unison. Zack returned the gesture. "We're their friends. I'm Zack, this is Kelly, Slater, Jessie, Screech and Lisa." He introduced. Mrs. Evers smiled warmly. "This is our daughter Megan and our son Michael." She said. The gang smiled politely. Mr. Gracey smiled. "You have very beautiful children Mrs. Evers." He complimented. He seemed like a really nice man. Very different from Ramsley. "I kicked in some chromosomes too." Mr. Evers joked, chuckling. We looked at him disgustedly and weirdly. Slater smiled sheepishly. "I think we're too young to know that." He mumbled. Ramsley returned back in the room. "Children, Madame." He called. We looked at Jessie confusedly. She rolled her eyes. "That means it's dinner time." She corrected. The gang chatted in understanding as we went to grab seats. Screech breathed a breath of relief. "Finally!" He whispered.
