(Her house up top)
I squealed excitingly as I ran into my new bedroom. "Come back for dinner!" Mom yelled from downstairs. I nodded before twisting the knob. A beautiful sight of my room. I finally get one after sharing a bunk bed with my sister, Morgan. Bet she's the happiest getting her own room. We moved to a different part of California. That is our hometown. I love being here when we visit beaches, take walks and sometimes have family get-together with our aunts/uncles in Glendale. We also said goodbye to them before we rode in car. I smiled widely. My room was amazing! I can finally decorate it the way I wanted it. I quickly started unpacking and opening my decorating utensils. I smiled at my bedroom mirror. "Time to make my palace!" I said to myself. Then I began the magic.

Working on my room felt like hours and made me hungry. The door swung open, revealing Morgan. I rolled my eyes. "Busy." I said. She chuckled. "Mom made dinner and we need to be downstairs. By the way, so much better than bunk beds." She said. I nodded in agreement. "I'll be down! Almost finished!" I said. She nodded and walked out. Finally, I closed the can of blue paint. Blue's one of my colors. I smiled in fascination as my room was fully done.
"Yay!" I suddenly shouted and flunked myself on the bed. "Mia!" I heard Morgan. I got off the bed and made a beeline downstairs. Way to ruin the mood, Morgan. She's a little younger than me so you know the difference. I walked in the living room and wow, I liked mom's new digs to it. (Pic here) Food was on the table.
My plate was made and I poured myself juice. We had juice while mom and dad had glasses of wine. "How's your room, baby?" Mom asked. I smirked. "Much better than bunk beds." I said. Morgan smiled. I returned the gesture as we high five. Mom and dad chuckled. I think we all know me and Morgan deserve separate beds. "Now, we should talk about new schools." Dad said. Morgan groaned. I smiled. I've always liked school. Not because of classes, but friends duh! "Mia, I enrolled you in a school called Bayside High." Mom said. I shrugged and kept eating. "What's it like?" I asked. "Just be prepared not to throw up." Morgan mumbled. Dad smirked. "Heard that." He said. I slightly chuckled. "You'll love it! And what's best is good grades and new friends." She said. The whole time I mimicked her words without my voice. I nodded. "Yeah! I'm used to that." I said. Usually I get good grades back at my old school and didn't have much friends. Just two, my cousin Deana and someone I'd like to forget about. I won't mention her right now. She rubbed my hand. She knew I meant the other friend I won't talk about. "She apologized, sweetie." Mom said. I rolled my eyes. "She was being a kiss-ass, mom. Even because she's an actor's daughter and won three Grammies." I slightly growled. She sighed and sliced her food. "Don't worry about this, ok? Just do your homework and have fun with friends once you find them. Ok?" Dad said. I nodded, sighing. Morgan cleared her throat and backed her seat. "I'm done with dinner! Time to watch TV!" She said, almost leaving. "No, missy! You need some sleep because you're gonna be out with your sister exploring the town." Mom told her. That made me get up from my spot. My jaw dropped. "What?!" We yelled. Seriously? Last time, she wanted me to walk her to the playground. It was two blocks away! "Why? I'm 12!" Morgan whined. "And I'm 15, almost 16! I can practically take walks by myself." I said with arms crossed. Mom scoffed. "It's not that bad! You're just seeing the neighborhood and maybe you'll bump into kids your age. You need to see more so you can get used to things here. Now, chop! Chop!" She said. We groaned in unison as we went upstairs. I closed my door and flunked myself on the bed. I wanna indeed watch TV in hopes it'll get my mind off this. I decided to watch Stranger Things. It was cool in my opinion and Morgan's. Who knows about tomorrow? I could meet other kids.
