Myself became sleepy after the bus dropped me and Zack off. I immediately took a shower, changed to my pjs and climbed under the blankets. I smiled in relaxation as I drifted off to sleep.

The morning started when I rolled out of bed and got dressed for school. Mom handed me cards to go over my SAT-Prep. I studied the third time and applied makeup. I wrapped my backpack around my shoulder as I came downstairs. The news were on the TV in the living room. Morgan brushed her hair a few times. Mom and dad were completely ready for work. My eyes diverted to the news channel. "The harsh icy thunderstorm's over 80 degrees and surprisingly, schools are being closed for the day. This storm may continue for the next two days while these icicles are falling down with droplets." Weatherman said. Thunderstorm? I didn't hear any thunder! What if I can't go to school? Thunder noise clicked, making Morgan jump a little. I sighed. "I was wrong." I muttered. The TV began showing every school that's being closed. Valley High, Christian Valley High and Bayside High. My jaw dropped. "Bayside's closed?!" I shouted. Everyone watched my outburst. I took a deep breath. "Cmon hon, it's just one storm." Mom said. I groaned. "Mom, what about- she cut me off. "You'll still study for the SATs and guess what? No school today!" She said. I smiled widely. "Yay!" I suddenly shouted. They laughed. Ok, still a force of habit. "Does it say my school?" Morgan asked. Mom and dad checked the TV. Her school didn't appear on it. Mom sighed and smiled. "Sorry baby." She said. Morgan rolled her eyes and grabbed her backpack. I laughed. "Once you hit thirteen, I guarantee they'll be more storms meaning more days off." I joked. She chuckled. "Cmon, missy. Bye babe!" Mom said, kissing my cheek. I rubbed Morgan's hair. Dad opened the door, having three of them walk out. I smiled and locked it. Finally! No school today! Let's celebrate!

In my room, I danced and danced to my song Time to Celebrate. Though it's a birthday song, I'm celebrating a stormy day. A plate of leftover pizza was on the bed. My jumbo stereo played the song. I playfully did the choreography perfectly. I laughed and cartwheeled across the floor. The song ended and I got up. A knock was heard. It came from my window. Who would be coming over during a storm? I opened and Zack took off his hoodie. I smiled. "Zack, what are you doing? School's not today." I said. He smirked. "Yeah, thankfully." He said. I cheered and hugged him. He smiled and hugged back. "I figured maybe we could spend the day off with you." He said. I raised an eyebrow. "We?" I asked. Screech waved, smiling. "Hey Mia!" He said. I playfully rolled my eyes and chuckled. He got inside before Slater. Another gang walked in. Kelly, Jessie and Lisa. They smiled. "Hey guys!" Lisa said. Kelly giggled. "How'd you guys get in?" She asked. I rolled my eyes. "My window." I said. Screech scoffed. "Mia's house is far so we did a risk." He said. Jessie sighed. "It's two blocks from mine." She said. I laughed. "Anyway, I'm glad you're here! What do we do during a rainy day?" I said. Kelly smiled. "Binge watch Netflix?" She guessed. "Stranger Things?" I said, smirking. We chatted in agreement and raced out my room. Zack followed next to me. "We should ask for week days off." He said. I chuckled and grappled his arm. Sometimes me too.
