(Morgan up top :))

My heart was beating out of fear. I was extremely freaking out from the inside. Morgan is somewhere, lying in a ditch. How could this happen? What exactly happened? My brain clicked when I realized she was still on the phone. "Where are you?" I managed to speak. She sniffled again. "In the woods. Me and my class were taking a field trip and we got to the woods. These mean girls pushed me down and told me I'm worth nothing and threw me onto a ditch. They laughed and walked away, leaving me there." She explained. Tears formed in my eyes. I can't even imagine anyone doing shit like that. Morgan's a great girl and she is worth something. "Are you still there?" I asked. "Duh! They laughed and left me there! Everyone's probably home or at school." She growled. I sighed and rubbed my hair. "I'm coming, M." I said. "Please. I'm so scared right now." She cried. I nodded and hung up. I need Lexi to help me. I ran upstairs and saw her with the camera. "Lexi!" I called. She looked up and smiled. "Hey, just setting up the recording and also worked on the music. Tell me if you like it!" She said, handing me headphones. "Lexi, Morgan is- she cut me off. "Can't talk! Listen to it." She said. I sighed and heard the music and beat. My eyes widened. It's so good! I began humming lyrics to the beat. I smiled softly. Thoughts about Morgan came back and I took off the headphones. "Lexi!- she cut me off again. She hurried me to stand in front of the mic. "Time to get started!" She said, going on my laptop. I huffed. "LEXI!" I yelled onto the mic. Echoing sounds of my voice were in the air. She finally stopped and looked at me. I sighed. "Morgan is in a ditch in the woods. She went on a field trip and mean girls pushed her and threw her in a ditch. The class left without her and she's by herself in the woods." I told her. By her expression, she didn't know what to say. Instead she got up and hugged me. I hugged back and shed a few tears. "This is awful. I hope she's ok." I whispered. We parted. "Morgan will be! We need to find her!" She said. I looked confused. "What about the song?" I asked. "We'll finish once we have Morgan. Lets go!" She said, grabbing my arm. We raced out of the room and downstairs. Lexi almost walked out till I pulled her back. "What?" She said. "How are we supposed to get there? We don't even drive yet!" I said. She smirked and pulled out her phone. In one minute, a red Rover pulled up with Georgia in the driver's seat. Georgia's Rafe's little sister. She may be young but she's a good driver. "All aboard!" She shouted. I laughed as we left the house. Lexi fist bumped her. I waved. We got inside and Georgia drove off. My phone buzzed again. Hopefully, nothing bad happened to Morgan. Mom was calling. I answered. "Hello?" I said. "Sweetie, are you ok? Are you home? Morgan's school called and told me she's missing. She wasn't even in the bus." She said, voice full of worry. I wiped my eyes and sighed. "That's because mean girls pushed her down and left her in a ditch in the woods. We're on our way to get her." I said. "Ok, I'll get there as fast as I can." She quickly said. "K." I said and hung up. I laid my head on my fist as the ride continued. Lexi patted my shoulder.

The ride took hours till nighttime. It's crazy how long it takes just to find a little girl who's stuck in a ditch. Finally, Georgia parked on the empty road. We quickly got out. The woods were eerily dark.
Lexi turned on her phone flashlight. I smiled a bit. "Hello?" She yelled. I looked around. We stepped our way through the woods. "Morgan!" I called loudly. "Morgan!" Lexi yelled. I huffed. "We're not gonna find her like this." I said. She nodded in agreement. "I know, lets run." She said. We quickened our pace and ran. Lexi's flashlight was lighting our way. We kept screaming Morgan's name. No yell back. "Help!" I heard from a far. We stopped running. "Did you hear that?" I asked. She shrugged. "Help!" The voice said. Lexi nodded. "That I heard." She said. Georgia smiled. "It must be her!" She chirped. "Morgan!" I yelled, running again. Lexi and Georgia ran back beside me. "Mia!" She screamed. Lexi shone the light on a dugged hole in the ground. "Help!" Morgan cried. We breathed a breath of relief. "Morgan!" I said, running for her direction. I tripped and fell on a piece of glass in the process. "Mia!" Lexi yelled. I groaned entirely in pain. The glass made contact with my forehead and nose. She helped me get up. "Whoa!" She jumped at my face. Georgia's jaw dropped. "That's gonna leave a mark." Lexi said. "Maybe two marks." Georgia added. Blood trickled down my cheek and my nose was bleeding. I didn't care. Morgan's safety is much more important right now. We ran to where she was cramped up in the hole. Her face was dried from tears. She calmed down once she met our appearance. I put my arm out. "Take my hand!" I told her. She grabbed it tightly. "Take mine's too!" Lexi said. Her other arm gripped Lexi's. We used every ounce of our strength and pulled her. "Hang on!" I said. We groaned and pulled her once more. She finally climbed out of the hole. We let go of her and breathed heavily. We hugged her tightly. Morgan shedded tears on my shoulder. "I'm so sorry." She whispered. I nodded my head no. "It's not your fault. Seriously." I said. We parted. Her eyes widened, seeing my bleeding forehead and nose. I chuckled. "I'm fine, I'll be fine." I assured. She nodded and brushed leaves off her pants. I brushed some off her back. "Hopefully, Aunt Ashlie will get here soon." Lexi said, referring to my mom. Ambulance and police sirens were being heard. Luckily, we had a flashlight to see. I smiled. "Lexi! Light it up!" I said. She chuckled and shone the light as we ran back to the road. My hand intertwined with Morgan's. "We're here!" I screamed loudly. "Mia?!" A deep voice said. It sounded like Zack's. We finally came to the road...which was covered with red, blue and white lights. Everybody saw us and smiled in relief. My jaw dropped. Zack and the whole gang was here. My parents too. "Mia!" Zack said, wrapping his arms around me. Happy tears formed in my eyes. Everybody joined in a group hug with Lexi. Morgan ran into mom's grasp. We finally broke apart. "Why you're all here?" I asked. Kelly scoffed. "Cause we care! Zack went to see you but you weren't there." She said. "Then your mom told me Morgan was stuck in a ditch so you left to find her. I tried calling you but you didn't pick up so I assumed the worst." He explained. I sighed sadly. "I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to scare you guys." I said. Jessie shrugged and smiled. "Least it's over and you're- they paused, staring at my face injuries. "That's...a lot of blood. Ever witnessed the stars? I see them." Screech said, collapsing on the ground. I playfully rolled my eyes and chuckled. "I'll be fine." I said. "What happened?" Lisa asked. "I tripped and cut myself on a piece of glass." I said. Their eyes widened. Mom smiled a bit. "Lets get you to the doctor." She said, leading me to the ambulance. The scary night was gone as we went back to my house.

Dad came back later and mom told him everything. She called the teacher earlier and told what happened. Morgan's school principal expelled the mean girls over breaking a bully-free rule. That's a total relief! My forehead cut was bandaged and my nose wasn't bleeding anymore. All my friends stayed over to make sure we're good. Not to mention, Lexi hid my recording stuff because they were hanging in my room. We agreed to do the session on Sunday. Mom ordered two packets of pizza. We had slices on plates while we watched Netflix. Morgan was on my lap, sharing my plate. She looked sad. "You ok?" I asked. She sighed and looked at me. "Do people like me? Those girls have always hated me and talked about me. Everything I do makes them angry. The worst part is I didn't do anything yet they still hate me. I wouldn't be surprised if any of you didn't like me when you met me." She said. The others heard our conversation and showed sympathetic looks. "We don't hate you, Morgan. You're really cool." Zack said. I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, they were jealous and that's why they pushed you into that ditch. They couldn't stand of you being yourself and that's what you should always do." I said. Jessie smiled. "It doesn't matter what a few kids think. You're a bright kid." She said. I smiled. "Also we're going to a waterpark this weekend, you can come!" I said. Morgan immediately cheered and hugged me. "Thanks!" She said. "No prob, sis." I said. We parted and fist-bumped. They laughed. "Ya'll are cute sisters." Lisa said. Screech twirled a strand of Lisa's hair. He smiled. "You're so cuter like a bean too." He said. Morgan smirked and grabbed his hand. He screamed as he was being electrocuted. She let go as he dropped to the floor unconscious. I growled at her. She smiled innocently, showing the shock buzzer. "I'm ok!" He yelled as we smelt his burning flesh. We laughed and continued our pizza Friday. Yup, Morgan's bright.
