"It looks good, Morgan!" I told her. She smiled, putting up the thanksgiving wreath behind the door. It's decorated with fake green, orange, red leaves and stickers of Jive Turkey. She smiled proudly. "Looks perfect!" She said. I nodded in agreement. It's been a while since the trip with our godparents. For me it's school, music and helping my family prepare for the holidays. I'm hella excited for Christmas! Enough to make one Christmas single. The gang have been busy with their holiday traditions. Randi is happy to finally see everyone during the holidays after six long years. Not only we're celebrating giving, we're celebrating it with Zack's family. His family is coming over on thanksgiving for a nice dinner and talk. Nerves are really building up for me because I hadn't celebrated a holiday with my boyfriend's family before. God knows it never happened. "Guys!" Nina called. We walked in the kitchen and saw her pulling out the uncooked turkey. Oh my god! What's she doing?! I gasped, putting the turkey back in the fridge. They looked at me confusedly. "What's wrong Mia?" Nina asked. Morgan smirked. "Don't worry, the turkey won't freeze to death." She joked. I rolled my eyes. "We can't mess with the turkey! Dad strictly said nobody touches the turkey until he gets back. He said bad things always happen after someone touch the turkey." I told them. They looked at each other before laughing. I playfully rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "That's crazy M! Bad things don't happen when you touch a turkey." Nina disagreed. Morgan smiled. "Yeah! It happens when you make charcoal turkey." She joked. They laughed. I raised an eyebrow, pointing at them. "I'm warning you both. Touch that turkey before Zack's family come and I'll make sure there's charcoal for dessert." I said firmly. Nina laughed. I growled menacingly. She immediately stopped as I went upstairs to change. Morgan smiled sheepishly. "Yikes! Who spit on her plate?" She asked. Nina shrugged. I really want tomorrow to be perfect = no touching the turkey.
The next day was the afternoon. Dad and Mom came home yesterday for a little rest. They'll need lots of energy to prepare for this two-family gathering. In our bathroom, I showered and wore my bathrobe. My phone buzzed on the bathroom counter. Zack left three texts.
