The gang was in Megan and Michael's room when Screech texted. We came inside to see an unbelievable thing! A blue glowing sphere floating in mid-air. Our jaws dropped. We stared in rather astonishment and possibly fear. "What is it?" Jessie asked. Michael hid behind Megan. "It's a ghostball!" He whispered fearfully. Zack studied the ball's ghostly features and smiled. "Yeah. It does look like one!" He said. Kelly rolled her eyes. "How can you be happy about this? This. Is. Insane!" She panicked. Lisa sighed nervously, gripping Jessie's arm. "Is it true what Mr. Gracey said? About ghosts?" She asked. The glowing sphere suddenly flew around me in a circle before flying toward a backdoor. My brain clicked. "I think it wants us to follow it." I said. Somehow I believe it wants us to see something...or know something. Lisa and Michael pulled us back gently. "I think you're crazy." He said. "Same here." She agreed. But Zack already opened the door. "Cmon guys! What if there is ghosts?! We can't let this thing get away!" He said, smirking. I inhaled a deep breath. "He's right. We should know what it wants." I said. They looked at each other for a minute before following us to go after the sphere. My brain clicked, realizing there was one more person left in the group. Where's Nina?Nina POV
I decided to get some fresh air somewhere while the girls stayed in our room. I'm so glad we got away from the cold storm. Otherwise, I would've caught a cold and frostbite. The architecture of this mansion seemed so ancient and old-fashioned. Overall, beautiful. Maybe they have a library here. Yes, I'm clearly one bookworm. It's impossible to believe there are ghosts in here. Hopefully Mr. Gracey was joking. I walked in the hallway, finding myself standing in the middle of the staircase. The high view was really nice. I smiled and came downstairs. Suddenly lightning flashed with thunder clicking made me jump a bit. I turned around, only to see Ramsley. I breathed a breath of relief. "Oh! It's just you Ramsley." I said. He walked up to me. "May I help you?" He asked rather nicely. "Uh...I was hoping to find the library for you know some light reading." I said. "Ah yes. Let me show you the way." He said. I nodded as he began leading me to the library. The library was hugely cool with millions of books everywhere. It's almost like the Beast's castle.
My foot stepped on one nearby. Shit, I hope I didn't leave any dirt. I picked up the book and studied the cover. "Hello?" The familiar voice called. I looked up to see Mr. Gracey. I smiled sweetly. "I'm sorry Mr. Gracey. I didn't know you were here." I said. He returned the gesture. "It's alright. You have a good book there." He said. The book was called Waters of Life. I hummed in response. "Have you read it?" I asked. He nodded. "Of course. It's a wonderful story about two children reaching for their potentials outside a village. They must encounter obstacles whom turned out to be more than threats." He explained. Wow. "So it's more Sci-fi fiction?" I asked. He chuckled. "Maybe so." He said. I looked around the room and admired the castle-like designs. "It probably gets lonely here, does it? Being the only owner of this house." I said. Mr. Gracey nodded in agreement and frowned. "Very much. It rather brings dark memories." He said. I pretty much understood how he felt. In my captive home, I'm always lonely except when I'm in school with Kourtney. It brought dark memories as well. "What happened here sir?" I asked. Mr. Gracey sighed sadly. "Elizabeth. My dearest love." He told me. Elizabeth? That name sounded really familiar. The feeling is rumbling my gut. "And especially our darling little Emory." He added. Now I became even more curious and suspicious about who is Elizabeth and Emory. "Elizabeth was the love of my life. She was a special one of a kind woman. I lost her a long time ago. But I feel like she might return though..." He trailed off. Return? How exactly really? I sat on the couch nearby. "What happened to her Mr. Gracey?" I asked. "Hers is the story that haunts these walls." He said in a serious tone. I got off the couch and readied myself to hear more about his beloved Elizabeth. Why does it sound familiar?******
Mia POV
Meanwhile, we followed the glowing sphere and walked up a small staircase. Zack was in front of me and Jessie was behind me. The blue-glowing sphere came through the door. "Anybody's gonna ask what's behind the door?" Slater asked all of a sudden. Megan and Michael shrugged. Lisa groaned. "You guys are truly insane for following this weird ghostball! What if it's a trap?!" She complained in whisper. Kelly rolled her eyes. "You watch too many scary films." She said. I nodded in agreement as Zack cautiously opened the door. It was darkened room full of old objects, dusty junk and a few things hanged up. "Whoa." We muttered in unison. We wandered around the room and stared toward the junk. "Maybe this is where it wanted us to go." Zack said. Screech smiled sheepishly. "Unless it needed us to clean up. This room is messy." He said. The glowing sphere soon disappeared as I stumbled into a portrait of a Victorian woman. Weird. She looked exactly like Mrs. Evers. My eyes widened. "Guys!" I whispered/yelled. The gang walked into where the portrait stood. All their jaws dropped. "Mom." Megan said confusedly. Kelly smiled warmly. "She's very beautiful." She said. Lisa scoffed and smirked. "She's got good fashion sense." She said. Everyone was distracted by the portrait while I spotted another behind it. I managed to pull it out and picked it up. My jaw dropped. A portrait of a Victorian teenage girl.
