    Time passed so quickly.

Too quickly it would seem, and before they knew it, November had arrived and Josephina had their home decorated to the T like an American Christmas John had often times seen on the television.

She moved from one area to the next like a pixie, and bit a single area of the large home didn't disguise the fact that Christmas was on its way.

Julian would be spending Christmas with his father and step mother, while Cynthia spent time with her new husband's family.

Josephina was all for Julian's visit, even going as far as renting a reindeer from a zoo for a one day petting zoo experience for the boy while he was visiting.

To ring in Christmas Eve, they would be hosting a Christmas party, a mixture of John's friends and some of the few Josephina had formed, along with a friend of hers from Los Angeles who had recently broke out as an actress, a miss Diane Keaton, who Josephina assured John, 'was the most fun out of anyone they both would know.'

John let her have her Christmas planning, he knew around this time, Josephina would be missing her family back home, so he made it his duty to make sure she knew he was there for her. Just liked he had when he dealt with his father only days before.

"So, I checked with the shipping company, my barrel should be arriving in two days, which gives me three to make Christmas dinner." Josephina clapped her hands and John looked up at her from his position of lying across the couch, Grayson sitting on his chest.

"You sure all these Englishmen can handle your spicy Latin and Greek cooking?" John teased, lifting Grayson above his head and making a funny face at the boy, who kicked his legs delighted.

"I'll have a turkey and roasted potatoes also there. It'll be a mixture of American, Greek and Mexican flavorings, oh John, I'm so excited!" She crouched down next to his head and hugged him, mindful of the baby who beamed at his mother.

John couldn't help the smile that spread across his face as her happiness radiated off her like the sun. He really was lucky to have found her at this point in his life. She'd been his rock during the band's breakup, had gotten him off of heroin and was teaching him to appreciate family more.

Which is why, he knew she was going to really like the present he had for her.

"Oh Diane, congratulations again for the new movie, I knew you were going to break out with a hit." Josephina hugged her friend tightly.

"Oh thank you sweetheart, and yeah it was great. A good cast, director, crew.....and look at how far we've both come hmm?" Diane gestured around the room that was filled with party guests, "you've certainly done well for yourself." She nodded approvingly, lifting her wine glass to her lips and taking a sip while Josephina let her gaze flick over the room.

"Yeah, I guess I have. You should have seen it before I redecorated." She shuddered, laughing and thanking a passing waiter who topped off her drink.

"Oh yes, the house is beautiful. But I was talking about that husband of yours. He's a much better match for you than Luke." Josephina blinked and smiled, glancing over her shoulder where she spotted John talking with one of his friends nearby.

"He is, I feel so blessed to have found him. I knew it was possible, that I could meet someone and get married eventually after everything that happened, but I didn't think I would ever feel a love like I do for John after everything." Diane smiled, she was happy for her friend.

The two had met early in Josephina's move to New York, back when she had worked in a diner when things had been alright between her and Luke. But unfortunately, Diane has relocated to New York City for her own acting career days before things had taken a turn for the worst for the Northern Californians.
