It was 2 in the morning and you couldn't sleep. You had really tried but your mind was just too busy to be able to rest.

You kept on replaying Yelena's words in your head. Especially the part where she said you were special to her.

You had never thought you could ever have this effect on someone, let alone on the girl who always repeated that love was for children.

But was it really it ? Love ? Was Yelena really in love with you, and more important, did you have feelings for her as well ?

At some point, you got tired of waiting in your lonely bed and decided to go get yourself a glass of water in the kitchen.

When you walked past Yelena's door, you opened it slightly to check on the blonde. You knew she had been having very rough nights lately and you just wanted to make sure she didn't need anything.

After having seen that she was sleeping peacefully ( for once), you headed to the kitchen and poured yourself a glass of water.

" Hey, can't sleep either ? " You heard Wanda said as she entered the room, making you jump. " Sorry if I scared you by the way."

" It's okay. " You smiled. " And you're right, I can't sleep. There are too much things on my mind. "

" Things...like a blonde spy with cute hazel eyes ? I'm just saying, you don't have to answer th..."

" Wanda there's no need to play matchmaker, I already know that..." You hesitated, not finding the right words to qualify it. " That Yelena has feelings for me. "

" Oh my god she told you that ama..."

" She did not, I woke up half way through your conversation and overheard some of it. " You sighted. " And I just don't know what to do now. "

" Wait, what ? " Wanda exclaimed, looking so stunned it was almost funny.
" Why didn't you tell us you were awake ? "

" I wasn't supposed to hear this conversation. I was afraid to ruin things between me and Yelena if I said anything. It took me so much time to get her to open up to me... I don't want to lose it all now. "

" You seem to care a lot about her. " The red head smiled softly. " That's great, you two will make a cute couple when you tell Yelena how you feel. "

" That's the thing, I don't know if I... Like her like that or not. Maybe your powers could help ? "

Wanda looked at you with a sorry face before shaking her head no.

" Thanks to my powers, I can feel that Yelena and you are both surprisingly relaxed and happy around each other but that's all. They can't determine if you love her or not, that's for you to decide. "

" And what if I can't ? I desperately want to make Yelena happy but I'm not sure if being with her romantically is what we both need. I could never bear hurting her, I could never ! "

" Hey, come here. " Wanda asked softly as your voice started to shake.

She wrapped you into a hug and rubbed you back in a soothing way.

" It's okay to be confused you know. " She whispered. " But I promise you that when the time is right you will know if you really are in love with her or not. "

You were not convinced at all but decided to let it go. After all, maybe Wanda was right. Maybe your feelings for Yelena would become clearer with some time.

" But whatever you decide, be careful with her alright ? " Wanda puller away from the hug. " I don't know exactly what happened to her but it's definitely very fucked up. And it's still affecting her a lot."

" Yeah I know that..." You looked at her, confused. " Wait, did she say anything to you beside the fact that she... Had feelings for me ? "

" You...You didn't hear ? "

" Hear what ? I was half unconscious during the entire conversation and fell back asleep after Yelena said I was special. What happened ? "

" I... can't tell you, I'm sorry. I think we both need to get some sleep so good night. "

She walked away, almost running before you had time to say anything.

" Wanda, wait ! What did she say ? " You screamed as the redhead left the kitchen. " What did she say ? "

She didn't reply anything and you sighted. You were even more confused than before and also very worried about Yelena.

You absolutely needed to decide what to do about this whole situation. And you needed to do it fast.
