I have some requests to write and I'll take care of them but I just wanted to update a short sweet one shot before diving back into the angst. Basically Kate falls asleep while you're watching a movie and you have to carry your koala to bed.

"Just one look and I can hear a bell ring" You hummed along with the characters on TV. "One more look and I forget everything...Kat, come on why aren't you singing with me? This is our song!"

A light snore answered your question and you noticed that the brunette was no longer watching the screen. Her head buried deep in your chest with dark locks spread all over your shirt, your partner was out like a light.

"Oh Sweetheart" You couldn't help but smile at how adorable she looked. "You're very cute but I'll make sure to get my 5 bucks tomorrow."

This was a game between you and Kate. You were usually incapable of getting through a movie without dozing off so your girlfriend had recently started to charge you for every time it happened.

She had already more than 30 dollars but this time, this time you were the last one standing. This time you had won and certainly wouldn't hesitate to rub this victory in Kate's adorable face.

You were not used to see her like this since you were always the one falling asleep first. It was...nice. Being the responsible (if you could call it like this) one for once.

After all the pranks Kate had pulled on you you had already imagined at least 20 ways you could get your revanche on your friend. Drawing a mustache on her face was first followed with other very funny things (at least in your opinion).

Except, now that you had your chance...you couldn't bring yourself to do it. The brunette seemed so vulnerable so...defenseless.

There was nothing left of Kate's usual goofy/snarky smile on her face. She offered a perfectly relaxed picture instead, made even more peaceful by her regular breathing.

Her chest was moving up and down against yours and you couldn't help but smile.

" Hey Kit Kat." You shook her gently. " I think it's time for you to go to bed."

Kate did not react the slightest to your words, snuggling closer to you instead.

You sighted before letting out a small chuckle. Of course your girlfriend wouldn't want to move.

The brunette was usually the last to fall asleep but when she finally gave up absolutely nothing could wake her up.

You were pretty sure Kate could sleep through a nuclear apocalypse without opening an eye.

"Alright baby." You kissed her forehead, taking a deep breath. "Let's do this."

With one swift move, you lifted the sleeping brunette from the couch.

She was much taller than you and you were afraid she was going to fall but of course you wouldn't let that happen.

You could never drop the most important thing you had in this world.

Crossing the room, you quickly made your way to your bedroom with Kate still sound asleep in your arms.

She really could sleep through anything after all.

"Y/n..." Your girlfriend finally mumbled as you laid next to her on the bed. "How...did I get here?"

"You dozed off while we were watching tv and I carried you here " You brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "I'll make sure to get the 5 bucks you owe me in the morning."

"What? No!" Kate whined, her voice still raspy. "There's no way. It was...it was all an act. I was faking the whole..."

You laughed at her lack of fair play and even more when you noticed she had fallen back asleep mid sentence.

You certainly wouldn't let her forget it in the morning but for now you could just stare at her.

Stare at the love of your life with her long eyelashes brushing against your hand and her strong body keeping you warm.

You hadn't let go of her tonight and one thing was sure. You wouldn't ever let go of her.

Yeah that was bad and short. Better things are coming since I'm finally done with my finals and will hopefully be able to write more.
