Starlight (Yelena Belova and Kate Bishop one shots)

Trouble in paradise

You're so happy when your bestfriend Kate comes to visit you. However Yelena isn't too thrilled about it and starts getting very jealous. After a huge argument, you refuse to talk to her. How will she make it up to you ? (I know this sounds like smut but it really isn't)

" Kate ! " You screamed happily, throwing your arms around your bestfriend. " I missed you so much ! "

" I missed you too buttercup. " The brunette hugged you back tighly.  " It's been a while. I should definitely visit you more
often ! "

You smiled at the nickname and nodded. You really wished you could spend more time with your best friend but she was always busy playing the hero with Hawkeye.

Glaring at Kate, you suddenly noticed that something seemed off.

" Are you okay ? You look...."

" Like shit, yeah I know." She sighted, obviously holding back her tears. " Clint has just gone back to his family and it's the first time I find myself alone in a while. I just...had a stupid nightmare and I coudn't go back to sleep so..."

The brunette looked so distressed you immediately wrapped her into another hug.

You knew that Kate, like your girlfriend suffered from bad nightmares.

Clint was usually here to deal with them but right now, your best friend was all alone. And she needed you.

" Who is this ? " Your heard Yelena ask in the background.
" Are you okay Моя любовь ? "

She barged in the living room and looked at Kate suspiciously.

You immediately noticed that your girlfriend was very pale, with blood shot eyes and tears strained cheeks.

This could only mean that she had just woken up from a very bad nightmare.

You were gonna have to introduce Kate to a grumpy-sleep deprived-traumatized Yelena. With trust issues 10 times worst than they normally were.

" This is Kate, my best friend." You cleared your throat, trying not to sound embarassed. " Kate, this is Yelena. "

" Hi Yelena ! " Kate waved at your girlfriend. " Y/n talked about you all the time, I'm so glad to finally meet you ! "

The blonde just glared at her with a blank face.

" Are you okay ? " Your best friend asked her before glancing toward you. " Is she okay ? "

" Yelena,sweety." You grabbed your girlfriend's hand. " Are you feeling alright ? "

" You never told me about her." It was low but you still managed to hear it. " And now I walk on you two cuddling in the living room "

" I know what you're thinking but I promised it was only a platonic hug."

Yelena shot you an accusing look and you understood you were in deep shit.

" Can we just all sit down and talk about it ? " You tried again.

" I just wanna know why you never told me about this so called best friend." The blonde raised her voice lightly. " You wouldn't  hide something from me unless there is an excellent reason for it right ? "

" I didn't tell you to avoid this situation. " You sighted. " My ex wasn't fond of my relationship with Kate and she left me because of that. "

" She what ? " Shit, Yelena really seemed angry now. " You told me she had cheated on you !"

" And she did ! But that was mainly because she thought Kate and I were a thing."

" Okay... And what's telling me that it is not true ? "

" Are you serious right now ? " You really screamed this time.
" I thought you trusted me ! "

" I think I'm just going to leave you guys alone." Kate interrupted your argument, a sorry look on her face. " Y/n, I already ruined one of your relationship, I don't want it to happen again. "

" Wait ! " You called the brunette. " You can't be alone right now Kate ! Please don't leave ! "

Your bestfriend didn't listen to you and quickly got out of the appartment, leaving you alone with Yelena.

You tried going after her but she was already no where to be seen.

" I did not mean to make her leave..." Your girlfriend admitted sheepishly. " I'm really sorry Y/n. "

" You're sorry ? " You couldn't even hide your anger anymore.
" My bestfriend who really needed my help is completely alone and I have no idea what's going to happen to her now ! Why couldn't you just trust me ? "

Yelena opened her mouth to answer but you left the room before she had time to say anything.

You didn't know when you would feel like talking to her again, you just needed some time alone to think.

Yelena's Pov
I watched Y/n leave, understanding that this time, I had really messed up.

She was absolutely right to be mad at me. I absolutely needed to learn to control my trust issues.

I was so so scared of losing her and it often got the better of me...

Y/n had been in her (technically our) room for an hour when she finally decided to get out.

Relieved, I immediatly tried to apologize again but she walked past me without  even acknowledging my presence.

" The silent treatment, really ?"
I pouted, trying to get her attention. " Look, I already apologized. Can't we just move on ? "

My girlfriend shot me an angry look but didn't bother to reply anything. Well, fuck.

After two hours of awkward silence, I decided that I coudn't take it anymore. I needed to do something to fix my mistake, and fast.

I thought about it and immediately came up with an idea. Not very appealing to me but which would surely work.

I was going to go looking for this bird my girlfriend was so fond of. And bring her back here to show Y/n that I was a mature adult perfectly capable of trusting her.

There will be a part 2 to this. I was also wondering, would you guys want me to write some Kate×Reader or do you think it's better to just stick to Yelena ?
