You had never, ever seen Natasha Romanoff cry before. You didn't even think it was possible. But when you told her about Yelena, her eyes started watering.

And that's when you understood just how bad the situation was.

" I promised her she would never have to come back. " The redhead whispered. " They're going to torture her or..."

She didn't dare saying it out loud but her eyes were clear enough. Dreikov was capable of the most horrible things. And because of you, Yelena was his prisoner.

" Don't even think of blaming yourself Y/n. " Natasha replied after you were done telling her everything. " Yelena made her choice. Now all that matters is to get her back safe."

You nodded but didn't manage to stop the tears from rolling on your cheeks. If your girlfriend didn't make it, you knew you would never forgive yourself. Never.

" Okay, I found her. " Natasha pointed at a red spot on the screen in front of her. " She must have managed to activate her tracker. "

" Her tracker ? "

" Yeah. " The redhead sighted. " Yelena got one in her numerous pockets. "

" Why do you seem horrified ? " You asked, seeing that she looked as pale as a ghost. " This means we're going to find Yelena soon, isn't it a good thing ? "

" It is. " Natasha refused to meet your gaze. " It's just that...Tony created this tracker to get activated only if the person who wears it...gets severely hurt. "

You stared blankly at her, unable to process her words.

" But how... ? "

" It reacts to loud screams. " You blushed which caused her to smirk slightly. " Not this kind of screams Y/n, just screams of pain. "

You blushed even harder as Natasha started to wrote down the coordinates on the screen.

" Alright, we're good to go. " She gave you a small smile. " Let's get our Yelena back shall we ? "

The jet landed near from your girlfriend's position.

You, Nat and Wanda who had come to help quickly got out before looking around.

In front of you, stood a random looking house with only a few guards keeping watch in front of it.

" I did not expect this..." You whispered, seeing that Nat was also surprised. " Isn't there something wrong ? "

" Maybe but whatever it is..." Natasha grabbed her gun. " We will have to deal with it. Yelena needs our help and we cannot afford to wait. "

She started running towards the house and you and Wanda followed her.

She was right : something was really wrong but getting Yelena back was more important.

Wanda took down both of the guards with her powers in only a few seconds.

No one else came out so you assumed they were alone. This was definitely not normal.

" Yelena ! " Natasha screamed as she entered the house. " Yelena where are y..."

The redhead stopped, paralysed by something you couldn't see.

Then, you walked past her and froze too.

Yelena was there, tied up to a chair and unmoving.

Her chin was resting on her chest and she was barely recognizable with all the cuts and bruises that covered her entire body.

You immediately went to shake her awake but Natasha stopped you.

" Don't touch her Y/n. We don't..." She cleared her throat to prevent herself from crying.
" We don't know how bad she has been hurt. Let me handle this okay ? "

You nodded reluctantly and let the redhead take the lead.

Slowly, Natasha came close to her sister.

You could see that she was shaking but you couldn't blame her because honestly, so were you.

It was so weird, seeing your invincible girlfriend defeated and completely vulnerable.

" Yelena ? " Nat kneeled down in front of her sister. " I'm going to cut out your ties and then we'll get you out of here
okay ? "

The blonde's eyes remained closed, blood dripping from her nose.

Natasha sighted and started cutting the rope with her pocket knife.

You caught Yelena in your arms before her limp body could hit the floor.

" Picked her up gently." The redhead told you. " I need to assess the damages but first, we gotta go back to the jet. We aren't safe here. "

She quickly got out of the house and you followed her, carrying Yelena.

No one tried to stop you which was again, really weird.

Of course, you were glad to have your girlfriend back but...something was wrong.

And you still couldn't figure out what.

So another pretty short chapter. I'm really sorry but my exams will be over next week so hopefully I will be able to update more often 😌.
