"Always." Ashton promised back. We giggled as we locked our pinkies together.
"You two are like sisters." My mum would always say. "Always got each other's backs."
"If only we were sisters!" I gushed.
"And lived together, that would be cool!" Ashton laughed. We were only five years old, but that was enough for the both of us. Because we knew that no matter what, we ALWAYS came around to each other.
Like the time at the zoo when Ashton was playing with a snake. She knew I was afraid of them, but she brought it close up to me and it nipped me. It wasn't poisonous or anything, but it sure did scare the heck out of me. But I forgave her of course.
And the time when we went into a dress store and I made Ashton try on a bunch of dresses. She's the most tomboy-ish girl I've ever met, but she did it anyways, just for me.
*end of flashback*I walked into the house after a good recap on those beautiful memories of me and Ash, and all the tears that were shed. I left that sadness in my car and went upstairs to freshen myself up.
I still couldn't believe she would get upset at me about that whole thing. If only I knew why she hates Rebekah so much, and what she did to her. I was itching to know, but after my recent conversation with Ashton, I was never going to find out.
I guess that whole thing had shaken me up quite a lot, and on top of that the encounter with Ally. I reckoned that only after I accidentally knocked over the hand mirror I hadn't noticed that was lying on the table.
It made a really loud noise, because my mum had heard it.
"Collins? Is that you? When did you get home?" I heard my mum's voice getting closer and closer to the bathroom.
I looked at myself in the mirror and noticed that on my arm, a mirror shard had cut me. I didn't even feel it.
I didn't want to worry her, because she hates the sight of blood, so rolled down my sleeve enough to cover it up.
"What's going on?" She opened the door.
"Sorry. I, uh, yeah just got back. I'm just washing up a bit." I fumbled over my words.
"Where were you all day?" She asked.
"I thought I texted you about that." I said confused.
I remember doing that at Luke's. And having that long explanation about us getting back together. I just did that one a few minutes ago too, which I got to tell you was pretty rough.
"No. I didn't get any texts." My mum folded her arms across her chest and stood there firmly.
"Then who..." I trailed off. Uh oh.
Who did I send it to? Ashton? Then a terrible thought came into mind. What if I sent it to Edward? I shuddered at the dark thought. I guess my mum doesn't know then."Well? Where were you all day? You were supposed to meet me at the cafe to celebrate my new job." She frowned.
"I don't remember you telling me to meet you there. And wait, what? You got a new job?" Okay, clearly I've been actually sleeping through the past few days if I haven't heard any of this news.
"I guess I didn't tell you since you weren't here forever!"
"Sorry. Listen, can we talk later? I'm just going to finish up and then you'll have my full attention." I sighed.
