A/N WARNING! THIS CHAPTER IS GONNA HAVE SOME REAL INTENSITY SO GET READY FOR THAT. (sometimes I like to just drop a bomb and run, yenno?)
C O L L I N S
I woke up to the sound of the front door downstairs closing. I looked over at the clock that was sitting at my night table.
2:30 am.
I put on some slippers and grabbed a house coat. Crossing my arms across my chest, I walked downstairs to see who or what it was.
I looked around the dark room, squinting to see if I could find anything, anyone.
I walked around and just when I thought it was only my imagination, I heard movement in the hall closet.
I covered my mouth to keep from screaming and then walked over to the closet. I placed my hand on the door knob of the closet just when the sound had disappeared.
"Collins?"
I turned around to the staircase where Luke was standing at the bottom. "What are you doing up?"
"Uh," I removed my hand from the handle. "I thought I heard something."
"Oh." He stopped to listen for any sounds. "I don't hear anything. It was probably just your mind playing games on you. Let's go back to bed, yeah?" He suggested.
I glanced back at the closet and then broke my gaze at it, nodding towards Luke and then following him back upstairs.
I got back into my bed, telling him goodnight, and then dropping down to go back to sleep. Weirdest thing ever.
...
The next morning I got up groggy and droopy eyed. For the record, I didn't sleep a wink last night. I hated being woken up because that only led to me never getting back to sleeping.I groaned, still laying down in my bed until I figured it was time to start the day.
I swung my legs over the bed and stalked over to the bathroom. I felt like a zombie. I started my usual morning routine; showering, blow drying my hair, brushing my teeth, fixing up my appearance.
I finished in "record" time, one whole hour. Normally I did it all in 30 minutes to 45 minutes, but I used up the extra minutes by complaining to myself about my exhaustion.
Today was Sunday and the party on Friday seemed like forever ago. I wouldn't be going to school anytime soon since we were on spring break and all. This weekend was going by so slow for me and this week will be even slower.
I decided that today would be a clean up day so I went my way to work on breakfast first before the dishes.
I cooked up nothing too complicated for me; bacon, eggs, pancakes, hash browns, and fixed myself some orange juice.
I plated the food when I was finished and left the two plates out on the table.
I had called the boys down earlier, only to realize that they were sleeping, so I left them to sleep.
I sat at the table and munched on a piece of bacon.Just when I was finishing up, I heard the front door close again and snapped my head to that direction.
"Luke? Calum? Are you guys awake?" I called out.
I walked upstairs and peeked into both of their bedrooms. Calum and Luke were sound asleep on their beds. Things were getting really weird now.
I shook my head, wondering if I was hearing things or those noises were actually real.
I went downstairs and decided to forget about it, and started on the dishes.
