Jack stares at me with a blank expression as I look around confused.

Where did the girl or thing go.

"You alright?" He asks snapping me out if my trance.

No I'm not alright. I just go attack by some freaky demon thing and then all of a sudden you show up.

"Just peachy." I mumble.

I didn't want to say anything to him. I mean who would believe me, I knew I'd sound crazy if I told him the truth. Wait why is he in the forest anyway?

"What are you doing here?" I question,

"I was walking past when I heard someone yell so I thought I'd go check it out." he states with a shrug.

I wanted to question him further but I knew it was best that I didn't.
For now.

"Are you sure you're alright?"

"I'm fine." I snap as I remember who I'm actually talking to.

He scoffs and rolls his eyes at me.

"Yeah you sure seem like it."

"Whatever just leave me alone." I huff

"You're really pushing it sweetheart."

"And you're really pushing it by not leaving me alone." I shrug.

"I thought from what you saw last night that you would be smart enough to not get on my bad side but obviously not" He growls while giving me a glare.

I glare back at him until it finally hits what he just said.

"W-what do you mean last night?"

"I knew you were scared but I didn't think you'd forget that easily." He smirks

"I don't know what you're talking about" I say lie.

It wasn't true.

It's physically impossible.

Yeah and so was that girl

No shut up it wasn't real.

"Really you seemed to remember when I tried to talk to you today."

Shit.

No it wasn't real.

Well it is real if he's standing right in front of you confessing to it! How else would he have known?

Fuck.

Wait does this mean he's going to kill me.No way am I going down like that.

"Chill I'm not going to kill you." He says.

Wait can he hear my thoughts or maybe he's just reading my face.

"What do you want from me?"

"I need you for something, you're very important and if I don't have you then it won't work."

I stay silent taking in what he just told me.

"What are you?"

"What?" He plays dumb.

"Whatever you are I know you're not human."

He smirks and shrugs not denying it.

"I'm what they call a Nephilim"
