My morning classes went by quickly. If it was another day I would've been happy af, but it just means my time to finally come face to face with Megan is getting closer. And I'm here sitting and waiting at the meeting hall for everyone to show up for this meeting.
People started filling up the room eventually and we were only waiting for the soccer team captains.
This One Minds meeting is basically a meeting with all the presidents of the different clubs/teams here at school. There are usually 2 of these and this is the last out of the 2 for my senior year.
I'm currently the dance club president for 2 years and sadly this is my last year. Even knowing all this I was willing to miss it all because I didn't want to face Megan.
"We're here!" Speaking of the devil. She walked in with the captain of the boys soccer team JJ. She was the captain for the girls team so I guess that's why they came together.
"O'Brien, Sampson didn't we say the meeting was at 11" the student body president Sidney a.k.a "the Greek goddess" questioned. It was in a soft authoritative tone. That was a talent only Sidney possessed. She was beautiful though, kinda crazy but beautiful af. All heads shoot towards the two as they took their seats. And Megan decided to sit right across from me. Before she even got the chance to look me in the eye, I turned my head towards Sidney.

"Sorry Nae we lost track of time in our team meetings" JJ said calling her by the name only his boyfriend rights permitted him to say.
She looked into his eyes and he did same to her. Sidney looking for any hint of deceit and JJ making sure he is not in trouble.
" Can you guys not have eye sex while everyone is here" Mikayla, our student body VP, joked. Sidney gave her a look because the statement made her blush and Mikayla smiled back amused.
"Mm okay. Let's start then" Sidney announced and I was happy and hoping that I can get through this whole thing with zero to no interactions with Megan.
"As u guys know our annual Club expo for new incoming students is coming up. I want- no I NEED everyone to be on the same page so that this goes well. Every club needs to make arrangements and tell me before May 3rd what they will be doing at the event."
" I also will need both the current and future presidents to attend the event. It is mandatory as said by the head mistress"
Micheal raised his hands (chess club president) and Sidney pointed at him allowing him to speak.
"Will all decorations be left to our club again?" Micheal said and the look on our faces was a clear hell no. Last year the whole fair last year was... well scary in the middle of damn August. It was zombie themed and Micheal's dad's money afforded him the luxury to go all out.
"Thanks for your question but no. This year we'll actually do things a little different. I want this year to be more collaborative, so the student body came up with an idea to decorate together and create a big mural this year" she looked around at our confused faces and explained further.
"You see guys our theme this year is "My legacy goes on" so we wanted to do something to be left behind like how this is our last year doing this" she explained and we all nodded agreeing.
"There's a twist tho..." cue the groans. Her twists is the reason I didn't wanna attend this meeting today.
"Listen first pleaseeee. Each club will collaborate to create their own piece of the mural and then before the eve party we'll put them all together and create this big wall of our awesome creations!" She sounded so excited and happy and I'm over here trying not to dread the idea.
"But that's not the only part that is fun about teaming up! You guys will also have the challenge of finding a way to make both clubs ideas come together to make one big idea!"
This all sounded good and I was a little convinced. I mean we want to go out with a bang so I can't blame her for wanting to big. Go big or go home right? Well I was all into it until it was time to pick the clubs we would be working with. Sidney instructed us to pick a piece of paper out of the jar she prepared and the people with same numbers will be the clubs working together.
"Ok Tay its dance club turn" Mikayla said to me and I got up and walked towards Sidney and her jar.
"Pick a number" Sidney said all happy and then winking and I just smiled back trying to not focus on my shaking hands.
I felt as this moment was the most nerve wrecking one out of all so far. I was trying my hardest not to show how nervous I was so I hurriedly pulled out a number and gave it to Sidney.
"Ok dance club got... 9! Which other club got 9?" Sidney raised her voice to get attention of everyone talking and then one person finally turned around hold up paper with '9' on it. I was dreading this moment but today was clearly not my luckiest.
"The girls soccer team" her voice was so clear it was like everything around me was muted and she was the only voice I could hear.
"There we have it! The dance club and girls football team will work together and also you guys are nine so you are also on stage decorating duty." Sidney announced and the way I almost threw up in my mouth!
"You guys are dismissed so you can go arrange plans and whatever" she dismissed us both and I immediately grabbed my stuff to bolt through the door.
"Hey." She said from behind me and I froze. My mission to escaped vanished as my will to live in this moment.
"Hi." I said back trying not to be rude. I can't ignore her because I've done enough of that already.
"Let's go outside so we can talk better" she said referring to volume in the room that is getting a bit more loud by the second.
I only nodded in response because I was too nervous to let out another word than "Hi". We walked outside into the hallways and stood there quietly facing each other. None of us daring to meet the other eyes.
"So..." she started but was cut off by my big mouth boyfriend.
"Tay let's go!" He yelled from across the hall and I mentally rolled my eyes. Why am I upset tho? I can escape from this situation.
I smiled apologetically at her and rushed over to Cal with the lingering thought if he didn't show up what would have that conversation led to....
