Chapter 21

Tay's POV:

"AND NOW FOR OUR HALFTIME SPECIAL PLEASE WELCOME CLINTMONT'S OWN CHEERLEADING SQUAD: THE FEARLESS TIGERS" the host announced into the mic and I brought out my phone to record my lovely girlfriend.

"Isn't that Meg?" Gia asked from beside me and I nodded with a knowing smile.

I may or may not have convinced her to dance for halftime as a punishment for ignoring me. I asked a little favor from the cheer squad captain and so there she was awkwardly, but correctly may I add, doing the dances. She kept looking at me during the performance and sending me flying kisses.

"You're doing great sweetie!" Her mom cheered and she just kept on smiling.

After the performance, she went back to the locker rooms and we waited for them to come out again to play our rival. The game score was currently 1 to 1 because of an auto goal. Meg was playing really good. Well I think, but according to her dad she was. She was the one who gave an 'assist' for the goal to score making the game tie at halftime.

"The second half of the game will commence now" the announcer said and I saw my beautiful girlfriend out on the field with a determined face looking fine as hell. The whistle blew off and the game began again.

The Final minutes in of the game

There was only about 1 minute left of the game and Meg had the ball and we were all on our feet. The cheer squad was cheering her name so loudly and I couldn't imagine how much pressure she is under.

Then it was as if everything stopped for awhile when she got in front of the goal. I held my breath as she got closer then shut my eyes as she was about to kick it in the goal.

Then I heard the whistle and knew that the game was over so I slowly open my eyes back. Then I saw Meg being carried by her teammates as they made their way to the locker rooms. SHE SCORED! I was so happy I jumped into Gia's arms and starting jumping excitedly joining in the loud cheers around us.

After all the excitement, we started making our way towards the parking lot with Meg's and Gia's parents. My parents were out of town for a conference so they couldn't make it but sent their best wishes.

Me and Gia were talking for a bit while the adults kept talking about adult stuff. We didn't want to be rude so we decided to go wait by the exit of the locker rooms. While we were talking about the upcoming freshman's fair, I heard Meg voice and I immediately turned my head to see where she was. I found her talking to one of the girls from the cheer squad and the hairs on my body raised. Ugh I hate being jealous...

They were smiling and laughing and I wanted to see what was so funny.

"Hi Tay" I heard Judy say and I almost ignored her because I was too focused on Meg and this girl. Meg looked distracted though like she was looking for something.

"Hi Judy" I answered and turned my attention back to her and Gia.

"Did you guys enjoy the game?" She asked as she adjusted the backpack straps on her shoulders.

"Yeah... um Judy I'll leave you with Gia. I'm gonna go check on Meg" I distractedly said and by the time the words left my mouth I was making it over to the two.

"Well what's going on over here" I interjected as the girl was about to say something.

When Meg saw me she didn't look shocked or anything, she just looked really happy. Her eyes were literally sparkling as she smiled showing off her deep dimples making my knees nearly buckle on sight. Then she picked me up  and spun me around which caused me to giggle. Then she muffled something in my neck and kissed me softly on my lips.
