Chapter Six

I bursted through the doors of my house and looked around. Everything seemed normal.

"AVERY!" Tammy screamed from upstairs

I ran upstairs to my room, and bursted through the door "What the hell is going on?!" I asked, burning with anger.

Tammy was laying on my bed with my laptop open. She was on some magazine website.

"Tammy what are you-" I started saying but she cut me off.

She pulled me next to her on the bed "Look at this!" she exclaimed.

She clicked on a video and I watched it for a second. It was a video of me playing at "The Bean" today...
"It's you! You're all over the internet!" She screamed.

I grabbed my laptop "Who videotaped that?!"

"Beat's me! But whoever did wanted to show you to the whole world!" She said jumping up and down.

"Tammy. You do realize you made me leave Ross Lynch at an ice-cream place just to show me this right?!" I was aggravated now.

"Oh! Right how did it go!" She said completely unfazed by the fact that I was boiling with anger.

I looked at her. "Oh nothing really" I began saying. I picked up a magazine off of the pile on my desk and started flipping through it. "He just asked me out for tomorrow night. Nothing big" I said still flipping through the magazine.

There was a moment of silence before Tammy let out the biggest, loudest, most ear wrecking scream I had ever heard.

I covered her mouth "Shhh! Tammy seriously! It's late! Your gonna wake someone up!"

She bit my hand and I let go of her mouth. I looked down at the palm of my hand that now had teeth marks forming.

"Wait, wait, wait. Ross. Lynch. Asked you out on a date tomorrow night?!" She said processing it all.

"Yep!" I exclaimed.

"Did you like get him drunk?! Did he really say it?!" She asked pulling me down onto the bed.

I punched her arm playfully and rolled my eyes, "Nope. All it took was getting whipped cream on my nose!"

She looked at me with a confused face and raised an eyebrow.

"Long story" I said.

She gave me a quizzical looked but let it go, "So what are you gonna wear?" She said changing the subject.

"I don't know. Ross hasn't told me where he's taking me" Just then as if on cue... my phone vibrated.

I looked at it and saw that Ross had texted me.

Hey;) Tomorrow night at eight sound okay?

I typed back quickly.

Sounds perfect:) Where are we going?

A few seconds later he replied.

It's a surprise. But wear something nice;)

I chuckled and my thumbs danced around my screen.

Hah:) Okay. See you tomorrow night

I locked my phone and looked up at Tammy.

Now I screamed at the top of my lungs.

She grabbed my phone and unlocked it "What, what, what?!"

She read the messages and looked up at me, her jaw dropped slightly. This time we both screamed.

Tammy started shaking my shoulders "He so likes you, Ave! This might be the start to your music career! And this might be the path to having Ross Lynch as your boyfriend!"

I heard my mother walk through the door downstairs and throw her keys on the countertop, "Avery! Tammy! You guys home!" she screamed.

I smiled a huge smile and bolted out of my room, and down the stairs. I ran down and ran into my mom giving her the biggest hug. Squeezing the life out of her.

I let her go and she caught her breath, "Whoa what was up with that Ave?" My mother asked.

"You promise to be calm?" I asked her.

She nodded awaiting what I was about to say.

My mother knows who Ross Lynch is. She was obsessed with him when he was "So You Think You Can Dance." She called him 'The one with great hair'

"I have a date with Ross Lynch tomorrow night!" I said to her

Her face looked stunned.

She looked up to Tammy who was sitting on the top step

Tammy nodded her head smiling

My mom looked back to me and she started screaming

"Are you serious?!" She said

"Yep! He came by the coffee house and heard me singing and then he asked me to go get ice-cream and then he asked me to meet him tomorrow night and then he gave me a kiss on the cheek and I had to leave because Tammy called me saying there was an emergency so I ran home and it turns out that I am famous on the internet because some person videotaped me singing and posted it and I feel like I am gonna pass out!" I said all in one breath

My mother took what I just said all in

She screamed even louder this time

Tears pricked her eyes "My baby's going to be famous!!!!!!" She said

She started crying

"Mom don't cry!" I said wiping her tears

"I'm just so happy! I know how much you have always wanted to be famous and live your dream! I just can't believe it! I am so proud!" She said in-between sobs

I smiled and started crying myself.

I looked up and whispered to myself "I told you dad. I was going to make you proud, and now I am. I finally am going to live my dream" I smiled to myself

My mother looked at me "You think I didn't just hear what you said did you? Because I heard it all" She said crying even more.

I laughed and gave her another hug.

She wiped her tears and said "You know what? I was going to make some stupid old dinner. But how about breakfast for dinner?! Cinnamon rolls, pancakes, french-toast, bacon?! How does that sound?" She asked

I looked at Tammy and she gave me a 'I approve' nod

I turned back to my red faced mother. "Sounds great mommy!" I said giving her one more bear hug

She kissed my face and went into the kitchen to start making dinner.

"Let's go back upstairs" Tammy said already climbing my stairs

"Dork-wad." I said chasing after her
